Iranians feel 'betrayed' by Donald Trump's peace deal and it is
'abhorrent' the fate of the people is 'nowhere in the discussions',
Tehran's exiled Crown Prince has said.

Reza Pahlavi said that the tens of thousands of Iranians who were killed
in January for demonstrating against the regime had 'not died for a
nuclear deal or the Strait of Hormuz'.

He also took aim at Sir Keir Starmer for 'validating and rewarding
blackmail' after the PM offered to lift British sanctions on the
    theocratic dictatorship following the agreement.

But Mr Pahlavi, who is seen by many as the unofficial leader of the opposition, said he still believes the regime will fall and that the
peace plan will fail as it is 'not tenable'.

    . . .

Awwwww ... he was SURE that Trump wanted to install
    him as the new Shah.

Well, ain't happening unless he goes there and leads
    a revolution himself.

Now he's back to being Regular Reza - what a downer !

He, and some others, were SURE Trump would send in
half a million troops and armor and such and fight
house-2-house against the Revolutionary Guard for
    the next decade.

Been there, done that, doesn't work very well except
at killing US soldiers and depleting the defense
budget. Iraq kinda-sorta-eventually worked, but the
PRICE was extraordinary. Afghanistan did NOT work.

When fighting fanatics, well, you really have to
GO there and kill them ALL one-by-one. Takes forever
and a tanker full of blood and you never really know
what you're gonna have later. It's not like Japan-45
where the Emperor said "Surrender" and they all did.

    Trump's approach was valid - seriously knock-back
Iran's military power, kinda squash any nukes, and
deprive it of MONEY. That leverages US strengths
and Iranian weaknesses - and you DON'T have to send
in a whole army for a decade plus.

Now is The Deal perfect ? No. Never could be. However
it's SOMETHING, kind of sets out a new balance of power
in the region. IF (when?) Iran tries to cheat Trump
will blast the shit out of them again. We can't, or
at least don't WANT to, "conquer" Iran ... it's enough
to trash the dangerous status quo.

After Trump ... let's HOPE we don't get a lefty wimp
or Iran WILL explode nukes across the USA really quick
Just Because They Can - for the Glory Of God !!!

Oddly, the best targets are a few big BLUE cities ...
