• What Happens in Vegas - Nobody CARES Anymore

    . . .

Looks like the gambling/glitz attraction has
worn off. Fewer and fewer WANT to go to Vegas
and surroundings - just doesn't interest them.

    Different generation, different interests.

Post-depression/WW-2, the Vegas glitz and chance
of Instant Money DID heavily attract. But now ...
    just another 50s fossil.

SO - what happens to Nevada now ? Major cash
and population drop fer sure. Becomes just
another patch of boring desert with A-bomb
    fallout.

The Vegas casinos are posting record
profits. They are simply catering to the
high-rollers and running off families and
    everyone not already millionaires. They
don't want to be Disneyland, they want
    to be Monte Carlo.

I believe the on line gambling might have a lot to do with no longer
needing to go to Vegas. Gambling is higher now than in the past, one
just doesn't need to travel to do it like long ago.

Yes, the practical aspect does count.

But Vegas was also "an experience" - a shiny
    immersive environment, "the big show".

Fewer and fewer seem interested in that anymore.
Has the "Vegas Experience" become Too GrandPa,
the 50s/60s grown all stale and stupid ?

Which makes me wonder if people have become so
totally detached from tangible experiences that
they favor tiny phone vids instead. Vegas
may just be a symptom of a broader malady.

So FAR ... idiots are still willing to shell out
rip-off amounts to see concerts. De-humanization
    is not yet complete.
