    Vivek Ramaswamy has won the 2026 Republican gubernatorial nomination
    in his home state of Ohio, the Associated Press reports.

    Ramaswamy, who grabbed national attention when he ran for the 2024
    GOP presidential nomination before dropping out and becoming a
    top surrogate for President Donald Trump, on Tuesday defeated
    long shot rival Casey Putsch, an automotive entrepreneur.

    His victory sets the stage for a high-profile general election
    battle for governor in the key midterm Midwestern battleground

    Suprising, but maybe encouraging. Last weeks he said
    that he didn't think that Jesus guy was the son of
    a god. While I figure he's 99.9999% right on that,
    just another demigod story, I wondered how well that
    would play in the heartland.

    Apparently it didn't phase them.

    Now though he has to run against a Dem nutter for
    the actual Gov's office.

    Ramaswamy ain't bad ... though he seems a bit TOO
    pro-corporate sometimes. We DO need biz-smart now,
    and suicidal 'socialist' crap much less.

    been 19 months, a bit over a year and a half. Give him some time and
