• Assassin - Good and Bad of "Security"

One journalist, FOX I think, said he was able to
get into the 'before party' showing only a little
paper invite ticket. Nobody checked to see if he
was packin', or wearing a suicide vest.

The party was packed with VIPs, not just press but
the rich and prominent too. Unclear if they were
scanned before entering the main hall. Maybe not.

Another flaw was that it was a big hotel - which
meant it was full of people coming and going. There
is a mentality that The Threat will burst in thru
the lobby door ... but the perp was already in there.
If he'd been ISIS he would have been wired to explode.

Note that there didn't seem to be guards or a lockout
    on the elevator door.

The most obvious flaw was the DELAY. There was the
first big noise outside - Melania seemed to guess
immediately it was something bad - but it was a
good 15+ seconds before there was any movement
by security on the stage. ONE guy jumped up and
stood in front of Trump, but he was the only one
for the duration. Give that guy his own island.

THIS one might be fixed kinda easily ... give every
USSS agent a 'panic button' - a radio beeper (set
with a security code for each event and re-try
resistant logic) that they can wear on their belt
or in their pocket and just slap hard - letting all
agents know the shit has hit the fan and they need
to MOVE instantly. The software for that is totally
simple, but gotta patch in a radio at maybe 400mhz
that can get thru walls - wifi and 4/5-G often won't.

Now, let's get real. 'Security' is always going to
be relative. The USSS are not gods. They won't be
able to predict an attack nor figure EVERY way it
can happen. Some track-star fanatic CAN get kinda
far into an event. A few more agents right at the
venue door would have improved the net.

Note also that the USSS hasn't been *paid* for 72
days - more hostages to Dem 'resistance'. Hmm, did
some Dems HOPE the USSS would be under-manned so
they'd have a better chance eliminating Trump and
the cabinet ??? Worth asking around ... the budget
block makes LOTS of things far less secure - and
Trump IS going whole hawg after fanatics right now.

Special credit goes to the agent who kind bodily
picked up JD and dragged him out of the way real
fast - JD is young and can stand rough handling.
Also, special credit to Trump - who remained cool
as the proverbial cucumber ... just another day
    on the job.
