Netanyahu has been quite insistent: that the suggestion that Israel is deliberately causing hunger in Gaza is a rCLbold-faced lierCY. And furthermore: rCLThere is no policy of starvation in Gaza. There is no starvation in Gaza.rCY
But when Trump was specifically asked about whether he thought starvation
was happening in Gaza, he seemed to hedge a bit, admit that the pictures
of starving children looked genuine, then hedge some more about how
theyrCOre sending lots of aid into Gaza (which wasnrCOt what was asked).
So, is there some daylight starting to show between the US and Israel over their policy towards Palestine? Which one do you think is going to back
down? Or will they try to claim that it was just a rCLmiscommunicationrCY on somebodyrCOs part, that there is no fundamental disagreement between them at all? (People are somehow both rCLstarvingrCY and rCLnot starvingrCY ... I wonder
how they will reconcile that ...)
Or will Trump simply repudiate what he said, pretend he never said it, and claim that anybody asking him about it later is some rCLhorrible personrCY asking a rCLhorrible questionrCY, like he has done before?
