If a government controls production,

they won't do as they do when incentivized.

If everything is free, in other words,
people might not be motivated as much
as when there exists artificially scarce
items which are then valued higher.

When a thing is valued

Without competition, what exists now may change.

More and more machines have been involved with more of both.
