This is useful for any topic where people tend to
be biased -- everything from ghosts to GWOBULL
WARBLING.
And, yes, even UFOs...
So you're on usenet. It's been pointed out to you a
number of times that you are severely fucked up. But,
you're non too bright, no you're not, so you're not
sure. One way you can test your mental health (lack
there of) is to look at your overuse of the "Cite!"
demand...
#1. Were you specific? Did you spell out exactly
what you are challenging, and why?
Hint: This is excessively unlikely.
#2. Is it pertinent? Does it even matter one way
or the other, whatever thing you're obsessing over
as an excuse to block conversation; does it matter
to anyone's point?
Hint: Not a chance.
A great example is just now, with the basket case
that posts under the "Dawn" alter, amongst others.
It's demanding a cite and although they are not at
all clear as to WHAT specifically they are challenging,
they do imply that it's how long sulfur remains in
the upper atmosphere. And, no, it can't matter but
sulfur emissions are 24/7. Even if sulfur fell out of
the sky after a few minutes, or seconds, it couldn't
matter BECAUSE the amount in the atmosphere is the
same OR HIGHER. The more coal civilization burns, for
example, the more sulfur.
#3. Did you perform a rudimentary Google search
yourself?
Hint: Doubtful.
In the above example of the troll that sometimes
posts as "Dawn," amongst other alters, they claimed
to have checked Google A.I. but, for what? The
fact that sulfur emissions only occur on Wednesdays?
No. their "Research" was limited to cherry picking a
lifespan for sulfur considerably longer than their
previously cherry picked length, and claiming it's
shorter than the one that I offered thus... what?
What could it possibly mean either way?
That there's zero sulfur emissions for years on end?
What? Because it's not how long sulfur stays in the
atmosphere, which was my ultimate point, it's that
there's always sulfur in the atmosphere and it's
growing.
Sulfur is a climate cooler. It's not the only climate
cooling property of our fossil fuels but it is the
major climate cooler. And all that matters is that we
are pumping out TONS of the stuff, humanity, cooling
the planet. AND THIS explains why it's so cool right
now.
"Cool." Not "Warm" but "Cool."
"Climate" is not a constant. It fluctuates, it's
subject to regular cycles as well as random events
(like asteroid impacts, volcanoes and, long
term, plate tectonics).
The earth WAS in a warm period called "The Medieval
Warm Period." Then THAT ended and the earth entered
a new period called "The Little Ice Age." And then
THAT ended in the 1800s and we should have warmed
back up to what was seen during the Medieval Warm
Period BUT WE DIDN'T!
It warmed. It's warmer than during The Little Ice
Age, but not by a lot, not by enough. It's cooler
than it was prior to The Little Ice Age. And the
most obvious reason for that is our use of fossil
fuels. And, the biggest culprit in our fossil fuels,
what is responsible for the most cooling is sulfur.
Regardless of subject, you've got to deconstruct the
problem. You need to... oh, hell, forget it. If I
need to spell anything out here you're probably a
waste of time anyway.
