I'm curious to know how it is that Paul happens to use the same 'reader
as you do; I haven't seen seen Ratcatcher/2.0.0.25 (Windows/20130802)
used elsewhere before.
Because Arlen uses faked random headers in his posts. This was in his
reply somewhere. He is not using the same reader as Paul, he is using
scripts.

If you're there, Paul, would you care to comment on Maria Sophia's
use of the same unusual User-Agent: string as you, please?

That is a custom on a Thunderbird, installed long ago.
Any updates kept the value. You can have any agent string
you want.
And it's unlikely any "written" USENET client (compiled language)
would be generating such a string on its own.

Yes, I know that T'bird's User-Agent can be edited. I found it faintly interesting that Maria Sofia had adopted the same string, especially
as she addressed you with such familiarity. Whatever, fandom is a
strange thing. Thanks for your answer.
As mentioned in other responses, such as Carlos' and mine, it has
nothing to do with fandom.

Of course I'm Sn!pe, can't you read headers?
I've taken the liberty of syncing to your newsreader.
