    Hi all,
The European Commission has opened a Call for Evidence on rCLTowards European Open Digital EcosystemsrCY initiative, which will shape open-source strategy. The goal of these comments is to gain feedback from stakeholders.
Important: YourCOll need to download and read the PDF on the page before submitting comments.

Efou Comment can be made here: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/16213-European-Open-Digital-Ecosystems_en

Stakeholders are invited to respond to the following questions:

What are the strengths and weaknesses of the EU open-source sector?
What are the main barriers that hamper adoption and maintenance of high-quality, secure open source, and sustainable contributions to open-source communities?

What is the added value of open source for the public and private sectors? (Provide concrete examples, including factors such as cost, risk, lock-in, security, and innovation.)

What concrete measures or actions could be taken at EU level to support the development and growth of the EU open-source sector and contribute to technological sovereignty and cybersecurity?

Which technology areas should be prioritised and why?

In what sectors could increased use of open source improve competitiveness and cyber resilience?

Feedback from openSUSE stakeholders (including those listed on https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:In_use) is especially valuable.

Please consider taking a few minutes to read the document and submit your input.

    Thanks for helping.

    v/r
    Doug
