    Just FYI:

If i open http://www.slackware.com/ in dillo and click on the docs.slackware.com link, it opens https://docs.slackware.com/
and gives me the error below [1]. I tried following the link
in the error message and got a new error, shown below [2].

In contrast, i can view https://docs.slackware.com/ in lynx
    without error.

If i change the URL to http://docs.slackware.com/ then dillo
    loads the page without error.

    [1] Access Denied

You don't have permission to access "http://docs.slackware.com/" on this server.

    Reference #18.1aa7cb17.1782700675.1c1a4dee

    https://errors.edgesuite.net/18.1aa7cb17.1782700675.1c1a4dee

[2] Uh oh! Something went wrong with the previous request.

If you navigated here, it's because the previous request experienced an
error. If you are the site owner, you can use the Translate Error String
tool to investigate this further. This is located on the control center
    under:

Hamburger menu > SUPPORT > Edge Diagnostics.

With my custom installation of old dillo 3.0.5, like for you, it works
    fine with http://docs.slackware.com/ but https://docs.slackware.com/
    gives me:

    -8<-------------------------------------------
The https dpi was unable to send the following HTTP query:

    GET / HTTP/1.1
    Host: docs.slackware.com
    User-Agent: Dillo/3.0.5
    Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
    DNT: 1
    Referer: https://docs.slackware.com/
    Connection: close

because Dillo's prototype plugin for https support is disabled.
If you want to test this alpha support code, just reconfigure with -- enable-ssl, recompile and reinstall. (Beware that this https support is
very limited now) To use https and SSL, you must have the OpenSSL
development libraries installed. Check your O/S distribution provider, or check out www.openssl.org.
    -8<-------------------------------------------

This is no problem for me, I don't really use dillo to surf the web. I
only use dillo as a syntax check for html pages created by me.

    regards Henrik

    Thanks for your reply.

    I am using:

    http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/15.0/network/dillo/dillo.SlackBuild

    Which configures dillo with --enable-ssl.

It works fine for me on other sites such as https://en.wikipedia.org/

The error message i reported came from the server side, not from the
    client side.
