In the next version of Cinnamon, both X11 and Wayland will be fully
supported.
The Wayland story is VERY difficult, afoot for 18 y.
A sidetrack; Barry Kauler, dev of EasyOS is marching to his own drummer, eschewing wayland (for xlibre) and 'retro-ing' to a 'newer' GTK2.
And, he is doing 'good'.

terms of creating and managing container environments.
this is how isolated environments, experiments, and sandboxed
desktop applications should work. EasyOS is the only Linux
distribution that is getting it right, in my opinion.
avec windows 11, on a une incrustation qui pr|-sent d'une nouvelle
fa|oon, on dirait de l'application web |a plat sur le bureau, tout
|oa pour se connecter au play store de google je crois...puis on a
un simulateur de console de jeu je crois...
windows, la mise en service la plus merdique au monde !
on retiendra que ceux qui ont refait l'interface g|-n|-ral, des
menus en sommes, on va dire |oa...peut |-tre que de plus en plus
on se passera des anciens lien pour taire les mouchards de
windows...
je crois que wayland c'est aussi |oa, une nouvelle approche
pour interfacer ?
