I ran my usual update shell, and it pulled down rpms for
nss, lib64nww3, and firefox but not from the usual source.

The source was not a website I remember seeing before, and
a check of the shells output on what it had done said it
had failed to connect to a half-dozen or more usual sites
    it can pull from.

    Is mirrors.cicku.me a new mageia source ?

There was a power outage about 3 hours ago, and things
may have been scrambled when I restarted my computer.

Any ideas before I start trying to deal with things
I have not experienced for years and have forgotten ?

    Cheers!

I don't know about 'new' but it is a mirror.

I dread the "how did I do that back then" sinking feeling

Using CM drake something to set up graphics card
    couldn't do that now

switch to run 3 to install the nvidia driver which fell over because
    the kernel headers weren't installed

So much is automated now. It would require enormous Googling to locate
    the old howto's

currently I update from 'princeton' after checking the status page
I got caught once with a non updated repo despite magapplet flagging an update. I had to reinstall to recover. A large chunk of the afternoon
    went by
Always check "status' it's bookmarked now

I am pleased to hear mirrors.cicku.me is a
    valid mirror.

After several hours, I tried again and all worked
well for my workstation and laptop.

    It seems all is well.

    Thanks for information provided.

    Cheers!

    This can all be unsettling.
Today I decided to locate and check my MAG_9 install stick

Then I recreated it to be sure
The boot order in the motherboard bios was an education
I's been so long I'd forgotten all of it
