    Yo,

I am currently using Fedora43 with Signal Desktop provided by SuSE. It
seems that there are issues with building the app for Fedora44.
Is there any other alternative source out there or do need to switch to Debian?
Signal is a critical component and no, flatpak or alike is not an option.

    There's a COPR depot
    https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/asafonov/Signal-Desktop
but take that with a grain of salt, like for Arch's AUR packages.

Thanks, I had that before SuSE came up. IIRC it is dead? I switched to
SuSE as that repo wasn't working any more.
