• Does package XYZ exist in Debian NN

    I know I've done package related searches that resulted in list of
    releases having that package.

    I've forgotten the relevant command ;{

    YourCOre probably thinking of the madison command. From your local apt sources you can use: apt-cache madison XYZ or apt-cache policy XYZ. To check across
    all Debian releases (needs the devscripts package), run: rmadison XYZ or rmadison -s bookworm XYZ. If yourCOd rather use the web interface: https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=XYZ
    rCo that shows which Debian
    releases include the package and its versions.
