Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch died Thursday
afternoon, sending shockwaves through the garage and the racing
    world.

Busch, 41, was hospitalized Thursday due to an undisclosed but
"severe illness," according to a statement put out by the Busch
    family.

NASCAR, the Busch family and Richard Childress Racing announced
the death Thursday evening, but did not offer a cause of death.

"On behalf of the Busch family, everyone at Richard Childress
Racing and all of NASCAR, we are devastated to announce the
sudden and tragic passing of Kyle Busch," the statement said.
"Our entire NASCAR family is heartbroken by the loss of Kyle
Busch. A future Hall of Famer, Kyle was a rare talent, one who
comes along once in a generation. He was fierce, he was
passionate, he was immensely skilled and he cared deeply about
    the sport and fans.

"Throughout a career that spanned more than two decades, Kyle
set records in national series wins, won championships at
NASCARrCOs highest level and fostered the next generation of
drivers as an owner in the Truck Series. His sharp wit and
competitive spirit sparked a deep emotional connection with
race fans of every age, creating the proud and loyal rCyRowdy
    Nation.rCO

"Our thoughts are with Samantha, Brexton and Lennix, Kyle and
SamantharCOs parents, Kurt and all of KylerCOs family, Richard and
Judy Childress, everyone at Richard Childress Racing, his
teammates, friends and fans. NASCAR lost a giant of the sport
    today, far too soon.

"During this incredibly difficult time, we ask everyone to
respect the familyrCOs privacy and continue to keep them in your
thoughts and prayers. Further updates will be shared as
    appropriate."

Busch was a two-time Cup champion and undoubtedly a future Hall
of Famer. He'd been in the Cup Series since 2004, making 762
career starts with 63 wins. Busch won the championship in 2015
and 2019, and had 234 victories across all three NASCAR national
    series.

Neither pneumonia nor sepsis is a "symptom."

I assume you meant that they themselves have other causes -- though
that isn't always true in the case of pneumonia -- but they aren't
symptoms. "My belly hurts." "My vision is blurry." "I am having
trouble breathing." These are all symptoms. (Quiz for the medically
literate among us: is "elevated blood pressure" a symptom?)

Baldwin, you play a fucking lawyer, not a fucking doctor, here on Usenet.
I meant exactly what I wrote. It is unfortunate that it offends your
fucking medical sensibilities of lack of precision. I'm just some
schnook participating in a conversation without pretending to be a
    fucking doctor.

The point I made, which you were actually capable of understanding, is
that we were not told of the underlying disease.

And sicne you are truly not a fucking doctor, I do not accept the
precision of your pedantry without looking it up.

Here's the thing, Baldwin: You lack authority on unmoderated Usenet.
That means I am responsible for what I write and do not have a contract
with you to tell everyone what I meant. You actually understood.

The motivation for you followup was not about achieving greater
understanding, let alone peace and harmony.

I looked it up. "Pneumonia" is an infection, so that's a disease.

    About Sepsis
    Mar. 23, 2026

Sepsis is the body's extreme response to an infection. It is a
    life-threatening medical emergency.

Anyone can get an infection, and almost any infection can lead
    to sepsis.

"Sepsis" is the body's response. That's a symptom, not a disease.

Take your pedantry and shove it all the way up your ass, if you would be
    so kind,

A physiological response is still not a symptom. I can understand (on
an abstract level, not a sympathetic one) why you are so desperate to
salvage a tiny bit of dignity out of your weirdly unhinged response to
a simple point about a word's meaning, but you're still going wildly
amiss. If you really can't afford a decent dictionary, there are
online ones that can help you. The only decent American one is
American Heritage, but there are a couple of decent British ones
    available as well.

Now we are winning the argument by gaslighting and using opposite
    meanings.

I can understand (on an abstract level, not a sympathetic one) why
you are so desperate to salvage a tiny bit of dignity out of your

There is zero "dignity" involved in having anything to do with you, and everything you wrote there applies to your foolish attempt to save face
    given your own foolishness.
