The Times of London and others report the death of
Peter William Unwin,born May 20th 1932,on January 24th 2026.

When stationed at the United Nations in New York,he was
among the diplomats who rented weekend bungalows from my
family (I have noted the deaths of some others on this
newsgroup in past years).

He eventually was Ambassador of the United Kingdom to
Hungary (1983-1986) and Denmark(1986-1988) before serving
as Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth (Economic).
