    USA Today was my first source for the death
    (from meningitis and sepsis) of the former
    child actress who would have turned 36 next month
    but died yesterday (June 16th).
    She retired from acting in her 20s and apparently
    had ongoing drug troubles.

    Never heard of her.

    Looked it up on IMDB: Best known as the voice of "Lilo" in "Lilo & Stitch".

    In my case I had become aware of her name in publicity for
    Big Love,which I never watched...she played a teen polygamist
    wannabe.

    I remembered her name for being weird.
    Also reminiscent of that of another young actress
    I read about but whose work I never watched,
    Dah-ve Chodan of "Uncle Buck".
