Federal agents were involved in a shooting in Los Angeles County on Wednesday morning, and while no one was struck, the incident led to an arrest and a federal agent being injured, authorities confirmed.
A spokesperson for the L.A. County SheriffrCOs Department told KTLA that officers with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection were conducting immigration enforcement in the Willowbrook area when the shooting
occurred. Per the spokesperson, the calls regarding the gunfire that
erupted came in at 7:20 a.m.
It was around that time that the federal officers began pursuing an individual, but the chase ended in a collision in the 2400 block of
126th Street, and thatrCOs when shots rang out.
No one was struck by the gunfire, the spokesperson elaborated, but they
were unable to confirm how many rounds were fired. They did verify,
however, that an ambulance was not called to the scene.
