    Yes, but I think that this use of "did" is much more common in the USA
    than it is in the UK -- "Did you have lunch yet?" where I would say
    "Have you had lunch yet?"

    Have you eaten? --- sounds Old fashioned, and maybe British

    Cf. the Old Woody-Allen movie (skit, Scene, Set-piece)

    "Did you eat?" -- "Didjew eat?"
