A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with a broad-daylight
armed robbery against two children running a lemonade stand in South
Boston this week.

The victims were identified as twelve-year-old David Byrne and his
11-year-old sister.

rCLHe walked over here, he said, rCyI might need to take the box,rCO and he grabbed it with one hand, and then he showed us the gun,rCY 12-year-old
David said. rCLMy sister, she put her hands up and I just said, rCyYou can have it.rCO But after that I just was like a little annoyed because we
were 12 and 11, and you shouldnrCOt really do that.rCY

The kidsrCO father, Dave, described the incident as rCLoutrageous,rCY adding, rCLI think we need some more presence around to in order for this to never happen again.rCY

rCLIrCOm pretty disgusted with it. TheyrCOre young children,rCY he added, according to CBS. rCLIt was in the middle of broad daylight.rCY

Others in the community have organized to support the kidsrCO venture.

Video from the area showed the two suspects who stole a cash box and
flashed a firearm at the victims.
