Stick around. We know how to cook and often post recipes or
describe cooking techniques that were not posted by
influencers in a 60 second meme on X or a Youtube video.

Have you noticed the increase of these 'influencers' killing
themselves? At least once a week I read about a ding-a-ling
influencer dying; they're the last person I'd take advice or
    try a recipe from.

It can't happen fast enough or often enough. The whole idea of
some loser making a living by influencing people in social media
is bizarre. I am thinking of the incredibly fat woman who keeps
posting about being denied ample seating on airplanes or that
flit who was involved with crashing Bud Light's image. I see
posts about people demanding that they food be comped or else
they will post a bad review of the restaurant. Let them go ahead
and die by their own hand or while doing something bizarre just
to get views and shares. No one is going to miss them.

Influencers have been a thing since Bernays published
'Propaganda' some time after WWII. The concept has just been
expressed more brazenly and while advertising has been largely
viewed with suspicion in the past, these people are celebrated
and held up as role models.

What people? Who are these people you say are "celebrated"? Role
models for what? Posting to social media with pictures of
themselves in fancy clothes, taking pictures of food they expect restaurants to pay for just for a mention? Their false celebrity
    online lives?

Advertising? That's what Ad blockers and Ublock Origin is for. Do
you spend your life staring at a phone taking pics and expect to be
admired for it? Get a grip, dude.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess you're the moderator?

There is not, nor has there ever been a moderator. You really don't
know squat about this newsgroup. You're a troll pushing some odd
    agenda.

You're a sick old lonely unemployed spinster with a control
    freak/bullying complex.

Die real soon, you subhuman filth.
