    He thought about documentation in a passive way, he never thought about allowing actual interaction with the code, did he?

    ThatrCOs why I think Jupyter notebooks, as one example, go well beyond
    his old concept of rCLliterate programmingrCY.

    If "programming.literate" is about literature
    related to computers.... why not just name it
    "comp.books"? :)

    Why is it named "programming.literate"
    not "programming.literature"
    nor "programming.literacy" ?

    I can see some newsgroups related
    to computer books, all related to
    modem-based BBS (e.g. Fidonet)!!
