He thought about documentation in a passive way, he never thought about allowing actual interaction with the code, did he?

ThatrCOs why I think Jupyter notebooks, as one example, go well beyond
his old concept of rCLliterate programmingrCY.

    If "programming.literate" is about literature
related to computers.... why not just name it
    "comp.books"? :)

    Why is it named "programming.literate"
    not "programming.literature"
    nor "programming.literacy" ?

I can see some newsgroups related
to computer books, all related to
    modem-based BBS (e.g. Fidonet)!!

    cn.bbs.comp.book
    tw.bbs.comp.book
    fido7.ru.books.computing
    fj.fleamaret.books.comp

    There are NO newsgroup(s) like:

    alt.books.computer

Never used nor heard of this programming
language. From the look of it, it's just
    augmenting the C programming language.
    Very much like C++.

Why posts to the newsgroup was like diverted
to alt.dev.null? Is this normal? Did
    Mr. Knuth requested this action?

Or was Mr. Donald E. Knuth missing so that
the newsgroup was closed for good?
