    decades (since ~ 1994) attracted almost entirely "troll farm" clutter, mainstream ai-generated/enhanced chatbots/botnets chatting/chattering, posting/replying, coactively around the clock on every "active" forum

    list of currently most active usenet newsgroups (top 500) starting at
    the top . . . some of these newsgroups may provide a better signal to
    noise ratio than the usual million-to-one (i.e. ~99.9999% troll farm),
    but that could be pollyannaish wishful thinking too ... caveat emptor

    Dear D <J@m>:

    Thanks for this list. One says that all generalizations are lies. I
    detect no spam from 2026 in news:comp.lang.ada and little spam in
    comp.lang.ada ever. It is remarkable that PL/1 and VMS newsgroups are
    listed as being more active than comp.lang.ada, but more persons type
    in a shell than in Ada.

    comp.lang.ada has a good signal-to-noise ratio.

    but this focus is unmoderated plain text newsgroups on public newsservers:

    "Basic" is not the same as English.
    A basic list should cover all languages.
    What you propose is an English language list.

    But because you delete "uk.", it's not even an English language list,
