First go at leftover turkey was Nigella LawsonrCOs rCLBang Bang TurkeyrCY. I opened a bottle of
2010 Karthauserhof Alte Reben Trocken Riesling that showed some leakage. Had a backup, didnrCOt need, lovely dry Riesling. Tart pit fruits, grapefruit, orange blossom and ginger. Good acids but not astringent, excellent length. A-/B+
    Oysters, mussels in kombu,rice,spinach
2020 Boulay Clos de Beaujeu Sancerre
Good acidic structure, but this is closed in on itself, and not showing much at all. For drinking now B-, with good potential based on earlier vintages
Turkey ramen, broccoli, and the 1993 Darviot-Perrin La Gigotte Volnay 1er. Tart 93 acids (which I like!), expressive red fruit, gamebird, a pleasant little green/juniper note. Fully mature, ready. B+
No wine with salmon with miso rice before going back to office for a meeting Monday and then to city.
Last night garlic chicken with lemon anchovy sauce, potatoes, broccoli rabe, and the
2001 Trimbach Reserve Personelle Pinot Gris. Pineapple, mango, honey and honeysuckle, hint of petrol, balanced acids, fairly dry, there is nothing wrong here but it doesnrCOt speak to me. I think IrCOm just not a PG guy, though I keep trying. B-
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.
