Rice bowls with pork, sesame dandelions, gochugaru cucumbers, carrot, pickled radish
    2018 Baudry Domaine Chinon
Ripeness of the vintage shows, and doubt if it were blind IrCOd think of CF. but I quite enjoy this. Juicy black fruits, moderate tannin, enough acid to keep lively. B/B+
Met some friends (mostly not wine drinkers) at park for concert . With breeze off the Hudson itrCOs warm-but-not-hot; we enjoy rCLShrimp nicoise,rCY soba noodles with mushrooms, and beet cured gravlax.
    2002 Luneau-Papin Excelsior Muscadet
Damn this is good. Like a topnotch white Burgundy with richness and cut, but with a saline/oystershell note to remind you where itrCOs really from. Long, limey citrus and seashell, stony heaven. Easily my WWOTY so far. A-/A
2018 Enderlle and Moll Liaison Pinot Noir.
ThererCOs a lifted note on the nose, but just within my tolerance level. Black and red raspberries, brisk acids, hint of anise and green pepper. B
(vintage not noted) Brownstone Cabernet Sauvignon
    Sweet, empty, thankfully short. C
Grade disclaimer: I'm a very easy grader, basically A is an excellent wine, B a good wine, C drinkable. Anything below C means I wouldn't drink at a party where it was only choice. Furthermore, I offer no promises of objectivity, accuracy, and certainly not of consistency.

Kudos to you hanging onto this so long, Dale. The '02 L D'Or was my
entry to Muscadet and we finished our last bottle probably a decade ago.
    Never had the Excelsior, though.

I note that I have a couple of bottles of this. I'll have to check in
on it soon. I've never had a VA problem with their wines, but you're
not the first person I've heard talk about it. Maybe I'm less sensitive
than most to it. Since Sven Enderle left the operation a couple of
years ago, I'm not sure I'll be buying any more.

We had a great bottle of 02 L d'Or last year, but then at a Muscadet-fest first bottle was poxed and 2nd corked. :)

This was not heavy VA, but I wouldn't serve this to Jay M! :)

LOL! Nor should you serve it to Oswaldo, should you run into him again.
