    Damn! You're paying more for the base price of the food, then all
    the fees are piled on. Even if someone is so pathetic they refuse to
    tip, the end cost is still way high.
    I laughed when Lindey pointed out, "The apps are not here for our convenience and our enjoyment. They are here to make money." Uh, yeah.
    Most of the time that is why a business exists (non-profits being the exception).
    A weather impact fee? According to Door Dash, 100% of the fee
    goes to the drivers, which is good.

    I used GrubHub once to have the experience. I terminated the
    account the next day since the sole purpose had been met.
    If someone is a shut in and truly can't leave the house, delivery
    apps can be justified. However, it would be cheaper to have a
    friend/relative go to the business and get the items. Give the person
    $5.00 for the help and it's still far less than going through the
    apps.
