Soon people on SSDI and/or EBT will be the bulk of those getting
fast food. The "Average Joe" will forgo getting fast food when, for a >comparable price, they can get better at a sit down restaurant.
The speed is still there. But what does that matter if the end
consumer has to spend more than he or she wishes?
There is a Guthrie's near me that wants ten bucks for three chicken
fingers, fries, and a coke. Dennys will give you five for $14 or a
burger and fries for $10. I have never seen more than one car parked
at the far end of the parking lots, which I assume is whoever works
there. And it's such a shitty location I can't image what they'd put
there when they finally go out of business.
Maybe a Fotomat or a Blockbuster.
