I saw this story just now and found it surprising. A woman working in a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, AZ had badged into the building but wasn't noticed by anyone for 4 solid days before colleagues finally decided to investigate the source of an unpleasant smell. They discovered the woman
was 'unresponsive' and called paramedics who confirmed that she was dead.

Is this an urban legend? It seems like a version of this story appears every few years.

It *appears* to be factual, but the headlines are click-baity.

The woman scanned into the security system on Friday morning.
She was found dead on Tuesday.

These is no indication yet that she died Friday during business
hours. The weekend is (to me) a give-away. There is the question
of why she was not found Monday (or missed at all), however reporting
is that her cubical was in an underpopulated part of the building
    (the office space back 40).

A quick google search coughs this one up: <https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/working-stiff/>
which was determined to be false

But the one you mentioned: <https://www.vice.com/en/article/wells-fargo-worker-dies-at-desk-and-nobody-notices-for-four-whole-days/>

Sure has a lot of detailed info though so I suspect it is true...

    And Snopes agrees: <https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/wells-fargo-lady-dead-4-days/>
