    have noticed that it originated on TicTok and just moved on, or at least
    set of alarms bells and investigated it further.

    There are far too many sites with "articles" that amount to:

    1) Someone made a claim on social media.
    2) We did not verify this claim.
    3) We want to spread it as far as possible.

    Google News in particular is inclined to send those my way.
