• Hey, everyone... remember Ms. Gloria "toxic lady" Ramirez?

    For anyone still here...

Back in 1994 Ms. Ramirez was critical ill with late stage
cancer and came to a California emergency dep't. [a]

Where... a bunch of staffers collapsed and a couple
    got critically ill.

Lots of lots of investigations ensued.

(We had extensive discussions back then).

Anyway, this exact (more or less) scenario
was the ksy plot device in tonight's episode
of "Murdoch Mysteries", a crime drama based
    in 1910ish Toronto.

    S17 ep 19 "A most surprising bond"

And yes, they even figured out the DMSO link!

Still here, but I think I missed the original discussion. I don't
remember when I started, probably sometime in the early 2Ks.

I believe that Camilla Caracchiolo (sp?), a very distinguished nurse,
did an exhaustive analysis of this affair and published it on Usenet
(probably sci.skeptic before it fell to the storm troopers) and probably
other places too. I think it was in the 90s.
