I only had a quick look, but there doesn't seem to by anything listed
on the New Zealand IMAX schedule yet ... mind you, given the horrendous
price of IMAX tickets, you would need to sell three internal organs to
    pay for it.

Star Wars Day Imax Event Gets Exciting Details,
    New Mandalorian and Grogu Look
    -----------------------------------------------
Lucasfilm has announced some major plans for this year's Star Wars Day.
The studio confirmed that it will host free special look fan events for
Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu at select Imax theaters around the
    world on May the 4th.

"The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered
throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect
everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of
legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice
    Grogu," reads the official synopsis.

What can fans expect from the Star Wars Day Imax event?
Fans attending the Star Wars Day event for The Mandalorian and Grogu
movie will be treated to more than 25 minutes of exclusive,
never-before-seen footage, and special fan giveaways, including a
brand-new exclusive poster. In addition, Lucasfilm is promising more
fun surprises for fans during the event.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is directed by Jon Favreau, who also serves as
the Star Wars show's creator and executive producer. The movie will be
led by Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian, Jeremy Allen White as
Rotta the Hutt, and Sigourney Weaver as Colonel Ward. Joining them are
Jonny Coyne, Dave Filoni, and Steve Blum, with acclaimed filmmaker
Martin Scorsese voicing an Ardennian shopkeeper. It is produced by
Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music
    composed by Ludwig Goransson.

The highly anticipated movie will arrive in theaters on May 22, 2026.

    How much?

Kinepolis in Belgium charges 14,70 euro for a 'normal' ticket and then a supplement for IMAX. IMAX 3D will cost 7 euro extra. If the movie lasts
more than 2h10 they will charge another euro extra.

Mandalorian is 132 min., so a 3D IMAX ticket will cost ***22,70*** euro.
Oh yeah, if I want me one of them special 'cosy seats' it's another 3,50
    euro.

First time I went to the cinema was in 1989 and the ticket was 2 or 3
    euro.

First time I went to the cinema was in 1989 and the ticket was 2 or 3
    euro.

According to the website, an adult ticket for "Michael" at the IMAX
cinema costs NZ$33.50, which is about US$19.69 or Euro16.80.

An adult ticket for a *normal* cinema ticket for "The Super Mario
Galaxy Movie" costs NZ$26.50, which is about US$15.58 or Euro13.29. It
of course costs more if you want tickets for the fancier cinemas with recliners chairs, etc.

In addition to those prices, there is also a NZ$1.75 "booking fee",
unless you buy at the cinema ticket office.

There are slightly cheaper ways to get tickets, such as the cinema
chain clubs, Automobile Association membership, credit card rewards
    schemes, etc.

There are only two IMAX cinemas in New Zealand (one more than there
used to be years ago - the only time I ever bothered going). The
Auckland one is in the central city, which means the additional expense
of over-priced parking if you can find a spot or taking twice as long
to get there and back via public transport.
