In case you missed it, while making Star Wars: Attack of the Clones in 2000, George Lucas and his crew returned to Tunisia to film the Tatooine scenes with Anakin Skywalker and Padm. But during that same week, Lucas also secretly filmed one of the final scenes for Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
According to The Making of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, when one of the crew members asked why they were filming a scene from Episode III so early, Lucas replied, "I can't tell you that. You have to wait six years for that answer."
He then added, "Just this one shot means I don't have to come back here. It's a long way to come and bring a crew of 60 people just to shoot one shot, then rebuild the set and deal with all the other stuff we would have to do in three years."
That could also be part of the reason Obi-Wan stays hooded in the scene, since Ewan still had the longer Attack of the Clones hair at the time.
