Really it's just an updated version of the old "Star Wars: Episode I -
Racer" game ... which was quite a good game.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer - Gameplay Trailer - PS5 Games
    --------------------------------------------------------
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a runs-based, high-stakes

I never got into that game - I had it on N64, I think... or was it
PlayStation? Christ knows. I still have my N64, it's set up in my living
room and games look surprisingly good hooked to the analogue/aerial jack
on our 50-something inch flatscreen, so might go dig through my box of
games and see if I can find it and, if so, I'll give it another try.

I've got the Macintosh version, but I was never very good at it (partly
due to lack of skill and partly to my computer being at the low end of
the system requirements, so got slow and jumpy in very busy scenes). I
think I managed to get to the second planet / set of races.

Dug all my N64 games out and it's not there, so maybe I had it on a
different format. I might get a copy just fopr the sake of it.

I did find two Star Wars games, though - Rogue Squadron and Shadows Of The Empire. Not played either in years, but I remember enjoying them back in
the day. I'm going to buy a modern N64 controller on payday - can't
remember the brand I've put in my Amazon basket but it's got good reviews
    - and when that comes will give these a spin. I like the original
controller but all the ones I have have got wandering sticks - I bought a refurb kit but did one and it was a bastard of a job and then when I put
it back together the stick was stiff as hell to move... Easier to just buy
    a new one!

The last Star Wars games I played were Rebel Assault, TIE Fighter and

The star wars last game I played was Jedi Knight II. I tried Jedi
Academy but it was obviously rushed to market, so I just played II for
    years.

I tried to play Rebel Assault (Mac version) when I bought it new, but I couldn't even get past the first level - partly because my Mac then was
n't really fast enough so the game was jumpy, and because I'm pretty
    hopeless at most games. :-(

I bought TIE Fighter and X-Wing, among numerous other Star Wars games,
    but I've never played them.

I did try to play "Dark Forces" and "Droidworks", but 3D games quickly
make me very motion sick, so couldn't play for more than a few minutes
at a time, so didn't get very far. I also got stuck in the dark in "Droidworks" when the droid's battery ran out.

I did complete "Lemmings"-like puzzle game "PitDroids". The first few
levels / planets of "Racer" were good, but than my skill level ran out.

There are other old DOS puzzle games: The Incredible Machine, Sokoban,
Pipe Dream... I think Alley Cat is also puzzle game??

Because it's basically impossible to finish that level using keyboard? :)

At the time I had a small Gravis gamepad, although that was probably
just emulating keypresses anyway. I think I tried it with both, but it
was too jumpy to play properly.

I don't do Windoze or DOS. Commodore and now Mac only! :-)

I do have a few Windoze versions in my collection of Star Wars games
because they never made a Mac version. :-(

I think I did play "The Incredible Machine". I have played a lot of
puzzle games and 2D platformers, because that's what I tend to be
    batter at.

You can still play or re-play them now, using just a browser. If and
