At the start of an afternoon couch nap, my mind began "seeing" text items, similar to views one might have on a smartphone or laptop. The views were too brief to actually "read" anything of them, however, the mind was at just the right stage to have thought I was actually viewing something, rather than seeing
images in a near-dream-like state.
After 2 or 3 of these incidents, I relaxed my mind just a bit more (drifting deeper into sleep) and the dream I remember (what's left of it, surviving evaporation) involved the dreamer having a type of interaction with some other guy, perhaps mid-40s or possibly even mid-50s (I'd say mid-60s at the latest, but I'm often a really poor judge of age regarding others, *especially* in dreams! They're either birth-thru-toddler age, young teens, mature teens, young
adults, adults, or elderly, typically.)
The point of view / perspective of the dreamer was located in some manner around
the south-western area of my home, except it was like that of my childhood home,
at the time before the construction of the sunroom, where the patio area was simply a covered, concrete slab patio, capable of sheltering two vehicles parked
beneath the aluminum/corrugated sheet metal roofing from hail and sun.
There was a sound within the dream, readily identifiable, as that of a helicopter flying over the house.
The guy was as if on alert, wanting to know what the sound was, and the dreamer
was informing him it was only a helicopter (and only of a moderate size, not one
of those huge egg beaters or heavy Hueys (The Bell UH-1 Iroquois) of the U.S. Army or Air Force) yet the guy was apparently disoriented, apparently anxious to
go eastward, when the sound was clearly going westward (in a track just barely a
few points south of east, towards a few points barely north of west.)
The dreamer moved towards the western side of the patio, out to where the dreamer could look upward, and indeed saw a moderate-sized helicopter heading westward-ish across the sky, where the dreamer was saying something to the other
guy, like, "See? There it goes."
What was more interesting (at least to the dreamer) was the view of a number of
people with telescopes of various types and sizes (from refractors, the narrow-tube-like type, to reflectors, the fat, short, open-ended type) and there
were at least, say, 3 reflectors, and at least one refractor, possibly more, and
they were *all* aimed skyward towards the west, aligned along the western edge of the property, which abuts a rather large field (behind Reeves-Rogers School)
thus giving them all a fairly *good* view of the western horizon.
Only in the dream, it wasn't even sunset. It was more like somewhere in the afternoon, *possibly* early evening, but there wasn't even a *hint* of sunset in
the dream.
The dreamer was intent upon going over to them to see what the event was all about, when the dream ended, clarity 10-. (There was nothing to suggest any symbolic or dream-like distortions of reality in any way, yet it lacked the "crisp as day"-like feel of waking reality.)

Dreamer was driving a vehicle, following a female driver in her own vehicle, at
a moderately / seemingly high rate of speed, yet not considered "dangerously" high in the moment, however, the contour of the road changed without notice, and
this change is what is of most interest:
*Typically,* roads (like the interstate) run almost as flat as can be, with the
exception of the occasional mountain pass that either goes up at an angle or down at an angle that requires "truckers' lanes" (going up) and emergency exit brake ramps (going down) that ramp upwards into sand, sufficiently long enough to help a truck that's lost its air brakes come to a safe stop.
Well, the road being traveled in this dream was like something designed for a roller coaster: Imagine a backwards "S" shape, similar to a "Z" shape, but curved like an "S". To "keep it straight in my head" as I type, I'll use the "Z" shape for directional reference:
The female's car was up ahead, yet on the *lower* (ground) section of the road (like at the base of the "Z" headed on to the right / forward.)
The dreamer's car was still up on the higher section of the road (akin to the top of the S-like Z shape) and *if* the dreamer had been driving at perhaps a *much* slower speed, the vehicle *may* have clung to the surface as it rolled downwards toward the lower section, but in the dream, the vehicle simply went airborne (off the top of the S-shaped Z) and went "flying / falling" downward to
the lower section of the road.
The car *landed* and continued forward, as if there'd been no damage from the drop, but the dream ended at the point where the vehicle continued moving forwards. The dreamer had *some* sort of thought along the lines of "Let's not do *that* again!" or "I'm still here / intact" or some *general* feeling of astonishment at remaining alive and "on the road," still intent on following the
female car, yet the questions regarding "WHAT just HAPPENED?" / general amazement / questions of what/how the event related to "real life" / "reality" basically *ended* the dream right there. Clarity 7 (for symbolic) although 7+ /
8- would apply otherwise. The sensation of flying / dropping / falling while going forwards was pretty cool :-) Also, I have some *vague* memory of having had a similar dream in the past, but it's like a phantom dream / memory. (Maybe
I've posted it and forgotten??)
There were a number of other dreams, one oriented on prepared food (like at a restaurant or cafeteria or such) along with some other dream regarding a condition of notoriety (possibly fame at some level of specialization) but they've all jumbled so much along with evaporation that trying to put them into
words is like trying to focus on a jumbled pile of jigsaw puzzle pieces.
There was *one* dream that involved characters that, while seemingly familiar with people in my real-life past, appeared "differently" from how I remember them actually appearing, IRL.
For example: IRL, I had a friend in high school, initials DJR, who had a father, Dr. JBR, and the Dr.'s wife (DJR's mother) KTR, who'd moved to Tennessee
from Wisconsin in the summer leading into DJR's junior year in high school. Now
IRL, DJR's dad, Dr. R, was short, always appeared "soft," but that's likely because I never heard him raise his voice, and also because he was under 6' (perhaps 5'6"?) (I was over 6', even as a freshman) but was *likely* a *tough* little buggar underneath the glasses and professorial demeanor. (The dad, Dr. R., passed IRL suddenly on Thursday, July 8, 2016. KTR passed away IRL on July 4, 2019.) Now whether the dream prompted the online search I just executed in order to find those dates, or the search prompted the dream, all I can say is, I
had the dream this morning (sometime prior to 9 A.M.) began writing this up (somewhere around 12:30 P.M.) and *then* finished researching (around 1 P.M.)
As to the dream itself, Dr. R. was in the image of a younger, thinner, taller fellow, and KTR was *almost* not visible at all! But the dreamer was trying to
ask about the location of their son (my high school acquaintance, DJR) yet trying to avoid words regarding his having been locked up (IRL) for some crime(s) involving a laptop. Someone in the dream mentioned his sentence as being "40 years" which is all I can really remember in the way of an exact quote. (I may have a bit more online searching to do, but he'll have to wait behind a few other projects currently underway.) Clarity 8-, overall.
