Shortly after 9/11, I had a dream that I was on one of the planes that hit the Twin Towers. Except that the collision was happening in super slow motion as I could see right into the offices from inside, and the faces of the workers as the plane was cutting through the building. Shortly after 9/11, I had a dream that I was on one of the planes that hit the Twin Towers.<snip> :-(I had a dream the morning *of* 9/11, prior to waking up for the day, followed by getting ready to go to work, getting in the car and driving (from Murfreesboro to Nashville) and hearing the first of the news on NPR (90.3? FM in Nashville.)
I was on the west coast sleeping late in an apartment that I shared with my sister when the horrors unfolded, so I woke up completely unaware at what had just happened. When I walked out of my bedroom to use the bathroom, my sister was already up chatting with her friends online. The first thing she said to me was "people are telling me to pray for the people in New York." I turned on the TV, and Oh. My. God.It was also later that year I opened up a 4 pack box of saltines and two of the stacks came out, side by side reminding me of the Twin Towers, and I was struck with sadness then too. Funny, but not funny. It shows how deeply something as horrible as 9/11 could affect someone even about 3,000 miles away, with no friends or loved ones who were caught up in the event. :-(
