by saving log files of current nntp server lists (telnet > server > list, e.g., freenews.netfront.net, news.blueworldhosting.com, news.neodome.net, nntp.csiph.com, paganini.bofh.team), then opening these logs in a spread- sheet (i use libreoffice calc), each server's "group high low status" is computed and the result column sorted descending from the most active to
the least, revealing that only about four hundred (~400) newsgroups have received a thousand (1000) articles or more per year within the past two
    (2) years, 300 groups exceeding 2000 per year, less than 200 groups with
4000 per year, about 114 groups show more than 10000 per year, 70 groups
with 20000 per year, 15 groups with above 50000 per year, 7 above 100000
(the vast majority of this is troll farm bunkum, only reporting results)

"neodome" <news.neodome.net> has two years article retention (~787 days),
over forty-five thousand (45735) newsgroups, 39592 unmoderated (y), 6142 moderated (m), but of these about two thousand eight hundred are "binary" (2618 alt.binaries.*, 93 alt.bainaries.* etc.), and out of the remaining thirty-five thousand unmoderated plain text newsgroups, only about ~2400 (two thousand four hundred) are active beyond a dozen posts per year for
the past two years (*note: retention in binary groups only several days)

Why are you (multi-) posting this in the firefox newsgroup?

For the 2,723rd time, "D" multiposts to avoid being kill filed based on crossposting. He has fucking said so himself.

Now, those of us who are terribly clever manage to junk his crap without comment. But you not only chose to troll feed, you quoted it in full,
making sure that everybody else saw the same crap again.

If you spot a serial troll, do not comment. Do not follow up. Do not do
a full text quote in order to call him an asshole or to complain that he
    posted off topic.

You've been on Usenet for s very long time and should have learned this
    by now.

It could be because cross-posting has been blocked. I know Paganini has blocked x-posting and I suspect sewer servers, a.k.a dizum and MixMin,
    must have done the same.
