• Does 157 disable any extensions?

    From John C.@r9jmg0@yahoo.com to alt.comp.software.firefox on Wed Sep 30 04:37:16 2026

Can any of you who have "updated" to 157 noticed if any of your
    extensions were disabled?

When that happens to me, it's very frustrating to have to find kludges
and alternatives to make things work the way it did before a major
    update like this one.

It's down to individual extensions to declare what range of versions
    they work with

157 hasn't shown up for me yet (just 156.0.1)

You can use the add-on checker compatibility add-on

Or... if Mozilla have added the extension to their blacklist.

I was going to say... Whether an extension is offered through Mozilla or Mozilla is tracking its reputation is not related to a major cersion
increment. There'd have to be a known incompatibility introduced because something an older extension relies upon has been deprecated.

That's for TB, not FF though, right?

Never mind. I went ahead with the update and none of my extensions were disabled. However, I truly do hate the rounded look of 157. Went into about:config and toggled browser.nova.enabled back to "false".
