• Firefox makes AI option

Users can disable every generative feature in one click rCo not everyone
wants a chatbot bolted to their tabs

Mozilla has decided that if AI is going to live in your browser, you
should at least be able to kill it when it gets annoying.

Woudl this turn off AI in google searches? I would think not, but what
    do I know.

I haven't noticed much AI in Firefox, but the artticle says it's yet to
be rolled out, so good for them, they're including the ability to
disable (the disabilty?) at the same time.

I keep finding mistakes by AI, but only in google searches.

The google AI is specially bad. I ask about upcoming Bach concerts, and
it gives me links for 2025, and mentions Mexican entries not being
included (What? don't you know my IP and thus my country and maybe
city?). If I ask in English, I get better results.

You ask in your native language and it doesn't know your preferences like country? Wow
    that is non-AI IMHO.

Both Mexico and Spain speak the same language.
The truth be told, my Firefox has as default language English, then Spanish.

But the IP of the browser is public knowledge, it doesn't need my
permission to know what country I am at.

But IP addresses are *not* geographically constrained.

Oh, once upon a time they were, but anyone who relies on that these days
would think that I am in India...

Firefox probably does NOT need a special NATIVE GUI for A.I. An
extension (maybe official) is more appropriate.

Google Search can always use A.I. internally, maybe combining results
    from multiple A.I. models.

Remember IRC chat of Firefox? Maybe that's what Firefox needs regarding
A.I.. People are merely chatting with those A.I. models, right? :)
