    Hi Friends

Some time back I tried a File recovery aoolication which more or less
worked like Testdisk but very simple.

It checked the hard disk for erased files - here is the differenve -
it offered to mount the files so you can copy the files to a chosen
location. It was really good and simple. All free and no limitations.

Somehow I lost that file. Now I need that application but I do not
remember the name of the application. (I am dodderingly old with some
    lapses of memory!)

If any of you know of such an application please help with the name of
    such an application

What you are looking for *sounds* like "Windows File Recovery". The
search result page above has links to "how-to-use-this" pages. It also
has links to tons and tons of others. You might recognise the name of
yours if you carefully examine the results.

    I hope this helps.

    J.

    Recuva perhaps?

Warning: installer may try to also install CCleaner. Check all options. Or block it from accessing the internet.
