Heh heh - these days I mostly use Facebook to stay in touch with
cousins who live in Canada, the US and Europe (we're a far flung
bunch) and Messenger for direct chat between immediate feedback
between family members (for instance my daughter is currently visiting Denmark)
Actually I just thought it was faintly amusing at the time. I actually
find Twitter (now X) just moderately informative/amusing (and not at all
the cesspit some people allege: what its detractors don't "get" is that everyone's X feed is different: it depends on who you follow, which in
my case includes bodegacats, SeaviewCraster, and ESA, among others, and
does _not_ include any of the nasty people). And I don't use Facebook
not through any objection to it intellectually, but because I can't
stand how a Facebook page works technically. As for keeping in touch
with cousins (I am an amateur genealogist so have several, indeed
including in Canada, US, even one in the Falkland Islands!) and other
people: email seems to work fine! I suppose I should get round to
installing one of the things like Messenger for live chat, but (a) on
the rare occasions I need it I've used Zoom, Skype (now some other name
- Teams?), or similar, (b) the 'phone serves! Though even there, email
seems capable of supporting such a chat most of the time.

If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. And I'm not
getting out of the kitchen for a long time yet.
