• Question re recovering a program link

I have a problem - I've got a link to a program that seems to have
been moved off my monitor screen - the software is there on my drive
(it's not deleted) - so I've tried downloading it again with no
    effect.

It DOES appear as open on the taskbar at the bottom of my screen but
not on the screen itself. It also appears in Task Manager (but not on
screen) when I open Task Manager.

Can anybody suggest things I should try to get the program to open
ON-screen? (as opposed to apparently OFF-screen)

I'm reluctant to un-install and re-install but will do that if nothing
    else works.
