"...and then the end will come."

What could possibly hold up the "end" from coming? According to Jesus, something MUST happen before God closes down and deletes this old
system of things. Carefully notice the prophetic words of Jesus at Mt
    24:14,

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as
a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." (NIV)

So we must find a preaching campaign about a "kingdom" gospel, going
on in "the whole world", prior to the "end". Do we find that happening
today? YES IT IS. How so?

Pick up and read the cover of any Watchtower magazine from any country
and you will see in big bold letters "ANNOUNCING JEHOVAH'S KINGDOM".
Yes, that "gospel of the kingdom" is being preached throughout the
world as we speak, by Jehovah's Witnesses. (Actually, it has been
going on for many decades) And you don't even have to go to some
physical building to hear it. It is being delivered right to your
door, or street corner, etc. (See Ac 20:20; Lu 8:1)

But some may have doubts. (That's understandable in this age of
'higher criticism', etc) So consider this:

If the JW's are not being used by God in fulfillment of Mt 24:14, and
if you truly believe that we are in the "last days" as mentioned in
the Bible, (possibly even deep in the "last days") then somebody or
group of somebodies better get cracken real soon because the "end"
will NOT come until a WORLD-WIDE preaching work about the "KINGDOM"
has been accomplished. And God's timetables are always on time!! (See
    Habakkuk 2:3)

And God's prophecies are always fulfilled!! (Isa 55:11)

To begin, every local church I've ever been a part of has a systematic
way of evangelizing the lost and communicating the gospel to them. They
all support missionaries who do this globally. The idea that none of the churches has been preaching the gospel of the kingdom till "Jehovah's Witnesses" (Satan's Witnesses) came along, is as blatant a contradiction
to reality as it can be.

Next, Satan's Witnesses ("Jehovah's Witnesses") do NOT preach the saving gospel. They preach a false gospel.

What Is The Gospel Of The Kingdom?

Matthew 24:14rCo"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed
throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the
end will come." (Matthew 24:14 ESV)

"This gospel of the kingdom." Jesus declares that a specific message
must be preached. To find the true servants of God, we must look at what message they are actually preaching. Is the "gospel of the kingdom"
merely a message about a geopolitical government destroying earthly
nations, or is it something far deeper?

1 Corinthians 15:1-4rCo"Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which
you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to
yourCounless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in
accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised
on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures," (1 Corinthians
    15:1-4 ESV)

How does the Apostle Paul define the "gospel"? The Bible defines the
gospel as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for our
sins. This is the saving message of first importance. Any message that
leaves out the true sacrificial death and bodily resurrection of Jesus
Christ as God in the flesh is not the gospel of the Bible.

Acts 20:24-25rCo"But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious
to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I
received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of
God. And now, behold, I know that none of you among whom I have gone
about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face again." (Acts 20:24-25 ESV)

Are the "gospel of the grace of God" and the "proclaiming of the
kingdom" two different messages? No. The Bible uses these terms interchangeably. Paul was testifying to the gospel of the grace of God,
and in the very next breath, he describes this work as "proclaiming the kingdom." The gospel of the kingdom is the gospel of God's grace shown
    through Jesus Christ.

Romans 14:17rCo"For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and
drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."
    (Romans 14:17 ESV)

What is the nature of the Kingdom of God today? The Bible says the
Kingdom of God is a spiritual reality characterized by righteousness,
peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, brought about by the work of Christ
    in the believer.

Proposition: The "gospel of the kingdom" is the good news of salvation
from sin, reconciliation with God, and the spiritual reign of God in the hearts of believers, accomplished entirely through the death, burial,
    and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

How Is The Gospel To Be Preached?

Mark 16:15rCo"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'" (Mark 16:15 ESV)

Does Jesus restrict the preaching of the gospel to a single, mechanical method, such as distributing literature from door to door? No. He
commands His disciples to "proclaim the gospel to the whole creation" by
    every available means.

Acts 5:42rCo"And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they
did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus." (Acts
    5:42 ESV)

What was the message of the early disciples when they preached from
house to house? The Bible says their message was "preaching that the
Christ is Jesus." They did not go to point people to a human
organization or to distribute magazines, but to point people directly to
    the Savior, Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:15-18rCo"Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry,
but others from good will... What then? Only that in every way, whether
in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice." (Philippians 1:15-18 ESV)

What is the essential element of true preaching that brings joy to God's servants? The Bible says it is that "Christ is proclaimed." The true
success of preaching is not measured by the number of countries we have registered offices in, or the number of magazines we distribute, but by whether the true Christ is being proclaimed to lost souls.

Proposition: The biblical command to preach the gospel is fulfilled
whenever and wherever the true message of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to
the world, regardless of the physical method used to deliver it.

    Who Are God's True Servants?

Galatians 1:8rCo"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to
you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be
    accursed." (Galatians 1:8 ESV)

What happens if an organization is highly active, visits millions of
homes, but preaches a different gospel? The Bible says that if anyone
preaches a gospel contrary to the one preached by the Apostles, they are accursed. Zeal, organization, and global reach cannot validate a false message.

2 John 1:9rCo"Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the
teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching
has both the Father and the Son." (2 John 1:9 ESV)

Who has God? The Bible says only those who "abide in the teaching of
Christ." If a group denies the true identity of Jesus ChristrCosuch as His full deity and physical resurrectionrCothey do not abide in the teaching
of Christ, and they do not have God. They cannot be His true servants.

John 8:24rCo"I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins." (John 8:24 ESV)

What is the consequence of denying who Jesus really is? Jesus Himself
said that if we do not believe that He is the great "I Am"rCothe eternal
God in the fleshrCowe will die in our sins. An organization that teaches
Jesus is merely a created angel is leading people to die in their sins.
They are not preaching the true gospel of the kingdom.

Summary Proposition: The true servants of God are identified not by
their organizational structure or their distribution statistics, but by
their adherence to the truth of Scripture, specifically the proclamation
of the true deity, death, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Anyone who denies who Jesus is, or who preaches a salvation based on organizational loyalty rather than faith in Christ alone, is preaching a
false gospel and cannot be identified as the "one faith" of God.

What is "The End" the end of?

    Context

The end of the Old Testament Temple and sacrificial system is the "end"
which is likely in view here. In Matthew 24, Jesus told the disciples
that the temple would be destroyed. They asked Him, rCLwhen will these
things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of
the age?rCYrCY (Matthew 24:3, ESV). They were asking when the temple would
be destroyed. They evidently assumed that something as significant as
the destruction of the temple must also mean the arrival of the "end of
the age" and the coming of Jesus.

In His response, however, Jesus makes a distinction between the events
and timeline surrounding the destruction of the temple (24:4-35), and
the time of His return (24:36). By contrast to the clearly defined
events leading to the destruction of the temple, He said about His coming:

rCLBut concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. For as were the days of Noah,
so will be the coming of the Son of Man.rCY (Matthew 24:36rCo37, ESV)

Jesus deliberately separates the two questions in his response. He told
them what to look for regarding the timing of the destruction of the
temple, but specifically noted that no one would know the time of His
    return.

Conclusion: "the end" may refer to the destruction of the Temple in AD
    40. This is not necessarily a formula which means that Jesus will return immediately, once the whole world has been fully evangelized.

What exactly is The End? Aren't there things that
have to come first like the rapture, the Tribulation,
    and the millenial kingdom?

The Rapture is a misinterpretation of 1 Th 4:17:

Not everything in the Bible has as its target everyone. Sometimes it
is only certain classes of people, or even OT enemy nations.

For example, the Bible tells us that humans (flesh and blood) cannot
get into Heaven. (1 Co 15:50) Thus any 'rapturing' going on would
likely be invisible to human eyes, since they would have to shed their
physical bodies in order to get into Heaven. And that is what they do
    in vs 51,52.

But even if the 'rapture' was real, will ALL the righteous humans be
'raptured' away to Heaven? No not at all. God's word the Bible says
that there will also be righteous people living forever right here on
the earth, as the following scriptures reveal. Mt 5:5,

"Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." (NIV)

God created this beautiful earth to have people on it. Thus not ALL
good people will leave the earth and go to Heaven. Isa 45:18,

"For this is what the LORD says-- he who created the heavens, he is
God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not
create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited--..." (NIV)

    Ps 37:29,

"The upright will have the earth for their heritage, and will go on
living there for ever." (The Bible in Basic English)

Thus that Thessalonians Scripture is targeted only for those who go to
Heaven. And that is a finite number; 144,000. (Rev 14:1; 7:4)

As we can see above, not ALL the righteous will go to Heaven. Many
will be living on a cleansed earth. But what will those who go to
Heaven do? They will assist Jesus in judging those living on the
earth. They are called "priests" and "kings". (Rev 20:6)

And after all that, there's the New Creation with no
more sorrow & so forth. That's endless, right?

After the wicked are removed from the earth, yes.

What is "The End" the end of?

The Bible talks about several "ends". Some even happened in the 1st
century. The Great Tribulation starts the final end of this wicked
world. And there is a prophecy telling us what to look out for:

    -- New King James
1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety
[security]!'' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains
upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

The Rapture is a misinterpretation of 1 Th 4:17:

You promote almost nothing but deliberately crafted and twisted, Bible-contradicting lies:

A Scriptural Refutation of Objections Concerning the Rapture and the
    Hope of Believers

The Physical Transformation and Visibility of the Rapture

It is claimed that because "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God," the rapture must be an invisible shedding of physical bodies
rather than a literal gathering of living believers. What do the
Scriptures teach regarding what happens to living believers at the
    coming of Christ?

    A. 1 Corinthians 15:50rCo53

"I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom
of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold! I tell
you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet
will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be
changed. For this perishable body must put on imperishability, and this
mortal body must put on immortality." (1 Corinthians 15:50rCo53 ESV)

Notice what the Bible says happens to living saints. It does not say
they shed their bodies or become invisible disembodied spirits. It
states plainly that "we shall all be changed." The mortal body is not
cast off; rather, "this mortal body must put on immortality."

    B. Philippians 3:20rCo21

"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the
Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his
glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things
    to himself." (Philippians 3:20rCo21 ESV)

The Lord Jesus Christ does not destroy or discard the believer's body at
His coming; He transforms it "to be like his glorious body."

    C. 1 Thessalonians 4:16rCo17

"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command,
with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of
God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who
are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." (1
    Thessalonians 4:16rCo17 ESV)

The catching up of believers is preceded by a audible "cry of command,"
the "voice of an archangel," and the "sound of the trumpet of God."
Living believers, along with the resurrected dead in Christ, are caught
up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

First Proposition: The Bible teaches that at the coming of the Lord,
living believers do not shed their physical bodies into nonexistence,
but their bodies are instantaneously changed into glorious, immortal
bodies, and they are bodily caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

The Universal Scope of the Rapture for All Believers

It is claimed that 1 Thessalonians 4:17 applies only to a restricted
group of 144,000 people who go to heaven. What do the Scriptures teach concerning who is included in this hope?

    A. 1 Corinthians 15:51rCo52

"Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all
be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
    trumpet." (1 Corinthians 15:51rCo52 ESV)

Apostle Paul uses the word "all." He does not say a small fraction or a
elite class of believers will be changed; he declares "we shall all be changed."

    B. 1 Thessalonians 4:15rCo17

"For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are
alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those
who have fallen asleep... Then we who are alive, who are left, will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."
    (1 Thessalonians 4:15rCo17 ESV)

Paul addresses the entire Thessalonian church and all believers who are
alive at the Lord's return. There is no mention of a limitation to a
    specific 144,000 individuals.

    C. John 14:2rCo3

"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have
told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where
I am you may be also." (John 14:2rCo3 ESV)

Jesus promised His disciplesrCoand through them, all who place their faith
in HimrCothat He would return to take them to the Father's house so that
they may be where He is.

Second Proposition: The promise of being caught up to meet the Lord at
His coming is not limited to a select group of 144,000, but belongs to
all living believers in Jesus Christ.

The True Identity of the 144,000 and the Innumerable Heavenly Multitude

It is claimed that only 144,000 people go to heaven, citing Revelation
7:4 and Revelation 14:1. What does the Book of Revelation actually say
about those in heaven before God's throne?

    A. Revelation 7:4

"And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe
of the sons of Israel." (Revelation 7:4 ESV)

The text explicitly identifies who the 144,000 are: individuals sealed
from "every tribe of the sons of Israel."

    B. Revelation 7:9rCo10

"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could
number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages,
standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes,
with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, 'Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!'" (Revelation 7:9rCo10 ESV)

In addition to the 144,000 from the tribes of Israel, John sees a "great multitude that no one could number" standing directly before the throne
    of God in heaven.

    C. Revelation 7:13rCo14

"Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, 'Who are these, clothed in
white robes, and from where have they come?' I said to him, 'Sir, you
know.' And he said to me, 'These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They have washed their robes and made them white in the
blood of the Lamb.'" (Revelation 7:13rCo14 ESV)

This uncountable multitude in heaven consists of redeemed people who
have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb. Heaven is not limited
    to 144,000 individuals.

Third Proposition: The 144,000 are a specific, numbered group from the
tribes of Israel, whereas the redeemed in heaven before the throne of
God comprise an innumerable multitude from every nation, people, and
    language.

The Harmony of Earthly Promises and Heavenly Destiny

It is argued that because verses like Matthew 5:5, Psalm 37:29, and
Isaiah 45:18 state that the meek shall inherit the earth and that God
formed the earth to be inhabited, there can be no rapture of believers
to heaven. Does God's plan for the earth contradict His promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:17?

    A. 1 Thessalonians 4:17

"Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with
them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be
with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:17 ESV)

The plain statement of Scripture is that living believers will be caught
up to meet the Lord in the air. One passage of Scripture cannot be used
    to cancel out another.

    B. 2 Peter 3:13

"But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new
earth in which righteousness dwells." (2 Peter 3:13 ESV)

    C. Revelation 21:1rCo3

"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy
city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell
with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with
them as their God.'" (Revelation 21:1rCo3 ESV)

God's ultimate design includes both catching His saints up to be with
Him and establishing a renewed creation where righteousness dwells. The
fact that God created the earth to be inhabited in no way disproves or
cancels the explicit promise that Christ will come to gather His saints
    in the air.

Fourth Proposition: The promise that God's people will inherit the earth
in its renewed state does not contradict or deny the literal catching up
of believers to meet Christ in the air at His return.

    Conclusion

When we take the whole counsel of God's Word in its simple, plain
    meaning, we see:

Believers do not shed their bodies invisibly; their bodies are
transformed into immortal, glorious bodies at Christ's return.

The rapture is the blessed hope for all living believers, not a
    restricted fraction.

The heavenly multitude in Revelation is beyond human calculation, far exceeding 144,000.

God's promises concerning the future earth stand in complete harmony
with the literal catching up of His church to meet Him in the air.

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

To be saved, one must believe the only true gospel: Christ died for our
sins and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9).
Every false gospel leads individuals to conscious, eternal torment in
the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:18-19; Revelation
14:9-11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:14-15). Denying that Jesus is
God means dying in your sins (John 8:24).

The crucifixion of Christ completely satisfied the debt of our sins
toward God (Colossians 2:14), which God verified by bringing Him back to
life (Romans 1:4). As a result, God is proven just when He forgives
believers (Romans 3:26) and delivers them from the approaching wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10). Eternal salvation is a free gift appropriated by
faith (Romans 6:23). If you believe in Him, call on the Lord for your deliverance (Romans 10:9-13):

What could possibly hold up the "end" from coming? According to Jesus,
something MUST happen before God closes down and deletes this old
system of things.

Do we find that happening
today? YES IT IS. How so?

What exactly is The End? Aren't there things that
have to come first like the rapture, the Tribulation,
    and the millenial kingdom?

The Rapture is a misinterpretation of 1 Th 4:17:

Not everything in the Bible has as its target everyone. Sometimes it
is only certain classes of people, or even OT enemy nations.

For example, the Bible tells us that humans (flesh and blood) cannot
get into Heaven. (1 Co 15:50) Thus any 'rapturing' going on would
likely be invisible to human eyes, since they would have to shed their physical bodies in order to get into Heaven. And that is what they do
    in vs 51,52.

So you don't think most people will shed their
containers and become spirit beings. One might have
hoped to float through walls, and do instant
    hyperdimensional travel.

Doesn't this put JWs at a marketing disadvantage to
the churches? Though the lack of eternal torment
    makes up for it.

But even if the 'rapture' was real, will ALL the righteous humans be 'raptured' away to Heaven?

What happens when the sun becomes a red giant, and the
earth is cooked? Will the upright move to a different
planet? Or will there be divine intervention to keep
    the earth cool?

Then when the sun is dead, does the earth get towed to
    a new star?

And, how long is "forever"? When the universe goes
dark & boring, and nothing is left but black holes,
will everything on earth continue on as always?

Thus that Thessalonians Scripture is targeted only for those who go to Heaven.

(Rev 20:6)

    I see. THanks for explaining.

On the contrary, JW's go by TRUE Bible doctrines. Those in the
churches are told to GET OUT OF HER!

    -- King James
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come
out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that
ye receive not of her plagues.

What happens when the sun becomes a red giant, and the
    earth is cooked?

Going by your words, all those on the earth will become hamburgers.
But in reality, the Bible clearly says there will be people living on
the earth forever. The One who created the sun will make sure that
    won't happen.

Will the upright move to a different
planet? Or will there be divine intervention to keep
    the earth cool?

Would a chef who is baking a cake in the oven, just let it burn? Of
    course not. Neither will God.

Then when the sun is dead, does the earth get towed to
    a new star?

Nope. The Scriptures clearly say that people will be living forever on
the EARTH. Thus the earth will never be destroyed, or turned into a
    red giant. (Ps 37:29), etc.

    And, how long is "forever"?

Just as one minute is 60 seconds, "forever" means eternity.

    When the universe goes
dark & boring, and nothing is left but black holes,
will everything on earth continue on as always?

Will a brain surgeon let a brain tumor kill his patient? No, he will
operate on his patient until the tumor has been removed.

God, the planet surgeon, will always make sure the earth will always
be occupied, even if the rest of the universe is destroyed. We have
God's word for that. (see above)
