Yes, retardation certainly explaines a lot. For example,
the Bible at Isa 40:22 says the earth is circular. The Hebrew word
used there is "hhug". Some Bible translators say it means "sphere".

Also at Job 26:7 it says God hanged the earth upon nothing. If you put

Moses spoke with God face to face, as to a
    friend (Ex 33:11)

    Job 38:4
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the

A "foundation" is a supporting structure. It can mean many things.

Right. It means a supporting structure. Which a rotating,
    revolving earth doesn't have.

Then why does it keep staying in a stable orbit when circling the sun?
it's got supporting structlure of some kind, otherwise we are all
    doomed.

Orbital mechanics. Newton explained the physics of why
bodies orbit 300 years ago. Nothing needed to "support"
    anything.

I'm not sure what you are thinking. Any "supporting
structure" would get knocked into another orbit.

    (snip flat-earth verses),
    but note this one:

    2 Peter 3:5
For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice
that by the word of God the heavens existed long ago
and the earth was formed out of water and by water,

Yes, I agree with all the Scriptures. What was your point?

That the authors of the bible had a flat-earth, geocentric
cosmology. And they said earth was formed out of water.

Water? Not that I ever read. When it was created, it had a lot of
water associated with it. But wasn't made FROM water.

I just quoted it above. The earth was formed out of water and
    by water, 2 Pete 3:5.

I know the earth wasn't formed out of water, you know it,
even Genesis doesn't say it was, but the author of rePete
    didn't get the message.

As for a flat earth, Just like the above about NASA, the Bible has
many metaphores also. But here is how the Bible describes the earth in
    a couple of places:

    -- New King James
Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like
a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

The word for "circle" there is the Hebrew word "hhug". Some Bible
experts say hhug can mean "sphere" also.

Yes, we are going in that very circle. You already pointed
this out, I said it does sound like it says the earth is
round, which contradicts many other verses that indicate a
    flat immovable earth.

The best you're going to get is that the bible contradicts
    itself.

And the book of Job tells us its location:

    -- King James
Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and
    hangeth the earth upon nothing.

This verse makes no sense. What does north have to do with
empty space and with earth hanging? Maybe you can explain
    it.

    So in summary we have:

A spherical earth hanging in space by nothing.

    Not bad for B.C.E. sheepherders!

Is NASA saying the earth has "ends", thus is flat or cubical? I am
sure you don't conclude they meant that literally, and neither should
you conclude the Bible is literal all the time. You have look at the
context, and other related verses etc, to determine literalness or
    not.

    Of course that's a metaphor.

Why do you think the earth's foundations and immovability is
also a metaphor? What are the verses really referring to?

The Bible means, just like a large boulder is sitting firmly on the
ground and is immoveable, so is with the earth. It will not be moved
out its place. Nor will it be destroyed. It's like that boulder,
    firmly staying where it sits.

Your verses do seem to speak of a round earth
unsupported in space. The bible often contradicts
    itself, as we sometimes note.

That's as rare as hen's teeth. Many times if you research a Scripture,
you will find no such contradiction. But you can't be biased one way
    or another.

    The bible has many contradictions.

Give me an example. What you call a contradiction may fade away once
    you investigate.

No man can see God and live (Ex 33:20)
    but:

Good examples. I don't blame you for calling them contradictions.
The answer is that sometimes angels represent God. This is not a cop
out. It's just the BIBLE'S way of talking in places. For example,

Who gave Moses the 10 commandments? Of course God you say. And I agree
when I read it. But note what the disciple Luke wrote:

    -- Revised Standard
Acts 7:53 you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not
    keep it."

Thus angels stood for God, and gave the 10 commanments to Moses.
Remember, the Bible was not written in our century, but is thousands
of years old. Thus the wording of some ideas can be somewhat
    different.

God appeared to Abraham (Gen 18)
    Jacob saw God (Gen 32)
Moses spoke with God face to face, as to a
    friend (Ex 33:11)
Moses, Aaron & 70 elders saw God (Ex 24)
God shows Moses his butt (Ex 33:23)
As illustrated by Michelangelo on the ceiling
    of the Sistine Chapel:

    See above.

Who did Mary and Mary Magdalene see at Jesus's tomb?

Show me the Scriptures you are referring to.

    How did Judas die?

Please show me the Scriptures you are referring to.

I did recall a couple of Scriptures was needed to get to the truth.
Judas hanged himself over a cliff. Then the rope broke and he fell
spilling his guts out. But show me what you think.

194 Contradictions in the New Testament ><https://www.slideshare.net/salehusman585/194-contradiction-sin-the-new-testament-of-the-bible>

If you want to give them to me one at a time, I will comment on them.
I do recall a couple of Scriptures that Bible scholars say was copiest
errors in the OT. It had to do with quantaties. (like 1000 chariots,
    or 10,000 chariots)

    Job 38:4
Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the
earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Nothing needed to "support"
    anything.

Who made the physics that Newton discovered? So to answer you in your nomanclature, God made the "orbital mechanics" that keeps the earth
    stable. (Gen 1:1)

I'm not sure what you are thinking. Any "supporting
structure" would get knocked into another orbit.

From what we know today, the 'structure' is not solid things. But
things like gravity. Like the suns gravity keeps the earth going
around the sun, and not flinging off into space. The tilting of the
earth of 23.5 degrees, gives us our seasons.

The rotation of the earth is the result of "the conservation of
angular momentum". (AI Overview) To me that means an object rotating
in space will continue to do so forever until it meets another force.
But the moon does put a force on the earth that slows it down by a
"fraction of a millisecond every century". (AI Overwiew)

    (snip flat-earth verses),

As I said, the BIBLE shows a spherical earth floating in space
attached to nothing. (Isa 40:22; Job 26:7) Yes, unbelievers want to
ignore that proof of Bible wisdom.

    but note this one:

(2 Peter 3:5) For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago
there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in
the midst of water by the word of God; (NWT)

That means there was a lot of water on the earth, and a water canapy
above the earth. (high in the atmosphere) It was like Venus looks
today, except their clouds surrounding it are made up of sulfuric
acid, etc, instead of the earth's water vapor.
(I surely won't be sunbathing on Venus)

I know the earth wasn't formed out of water, you know it,
even Genesis doesn't say it was, but the author of rePete
    didn't get the message.

Well, that can be a translators fault. Here is the RSV Bible:

    -- Revised Standard
2 Peter 3:5 They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of
God heavens existed long ago, and an earth formed out of water and by
    means of water,

So maybe he was going by that version.

As for a flat earth, Just like the above about NASA, the Bible has
many metaphores also. But here is how the Bible describes the earth in
    a couple of places:

    -- New King James
Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, and its
inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like
a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

Just like NASA says the earth is flat? ("the ends of the earth")

The best you're going to get is that the bible contradicts
    itself.

Only if that is what you want. There are many Scriptures that can be
taken wrong. Here is one example:

29aIf, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and
throw it away from you. For it is better for you to lose one of your
members than for your whole body to be pitched into Ge+hen|na. (Mt
    5:29)

Is Jesus perpetuating "nonsuicidal self-injury disorder"? (https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/12201-self-harm

It sure sounds like it, doesn't it. But actually, Jesus was saying
that if something is as precious as your eye, and was making you sin,
then you should remove it. (like porn is to some)

Again, by the time most of the OT was written down, it was
already widely known that the earth was round. Certainly the
Greeks knew it when they translated the Septuagint.

    How do you know?

But there is part B. God hanged the earth upon nothing.Did the B.CE
Greeks know that also? I do know that Aristotle teachings back then
taught that things in the sky, like stars, moon, etc, had to be
    hanging from something.

"Planets, the sun, the moon, and the stars were thought to be
physically pinned like jewels into transparent, rotating concentric
orbs centered on the Earth." (Aristotle teaching)

Aristotle said nature abhors a vacuum. Thus all of outerspace had to
be filled with things. (AI Overview)

Thank you for your replies, James, I appreciate your time,

The NWT heresy Bible used by Satan's Witnesses "coincidentally" has to
insert the word "other" into Colossians 1 repeatedly, to conform to
false doctrine which denies Jesus is God: see christrose.news/nwt

    Jesus is God

    https://www.christrose.news/Jesus-is-God

Jesus is God. This truth stands at the center of the gospel and defines
the Christian faith. The Bible teaches clearly, from beginning to end,
that Jesus shares the divine nature, authority, and glory of God. Those
who deny this truth reject what God has revealed about His Son. To
understand why we say Jesus is God, we must walk through the BiblerCOs testimony.

The Old Testament prepared the way for the coming of God in the flesh.
The prophet Isaiah foretold that a child would be born called rCLMighty
GodrCY (Isaiah 9:6). In the same book, Isaiah said the coming voice in the wilderness would prepare the way of Yahweh Himself (Isaiah 40:3). When
John the Baptist fulfilled this, he prepared the way for Jesus (Matthew
3:3), showing that Jesus is Yahweh in human form.

The New Testament makes this even more clear. The Gospel of John begins
by calling Jesus rCLthe Word,rCY saying, rCLIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was GodrCY (John 1:1, ESV). He was not created. He existed from the beginning with God and as God. Then John
tells us, rCLAnd the Word became flesh and dwelt among usrCY (John 1:14,
ESV). Jesus, the eternal Word, took on human nature without ceasing to
    be God.

Jesus claimed divine identity many times. In John 8:58, He said, rCLBefore Abraham was, I amrCY (John 8:58, ESV). This statement echoes GodrCOs name in Exodus 3:14rCorCLI AM WHO I AM.rCY The Jews understood this clearly. They picked up stones to kill Him for blasphemy because He made Himself equal
    with God (John 8:59).

Jesus also forgave sins, something only God can do. When He told a
paralytic, rCLYour sins are forgivenrCY (Mark 2:5, ESV), the scribes said, rCLWho can forgive sins but God alone?rCY (Mark 2:7, ESV). Jesus did not
deny their logic. Instead, He healed the man to prove His divine
    authority (Mark 2:10).

Jesus accepted worship that belongs only to God. After His resurrection, Thomas fell before Him and said, rCLMy Lord and my God!rCY (John 20:28,
ESV). Jesus did not correct him. He affirmed ThomasrCOs faith. In
contrast, when others tried to worship angels or apostles, they were
stopped immediately (Acts 10:25-26; Revelation 22:8-9).

The apostle Paul also testified clearly. He said, rCLFor in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodilyrCY (Colossians 2:9, ESV). Jesus does not merely reflect God. He is fully God in human flesh. Paul also called
Jesus rCLour great God and SaviorrCY (Titus 2:13, ESV) and said that Jesus, though equal with God, humbled Himself to become a man (Philippians
2:6-7). His name is above every name, and every knee will bow to Him (Philippians 2:10-11), echoing Isaiah 45:23rCoa passage that speaks of
    Yahweh alone.

The author of Hebrews speaks the same way. Hebrews 1:3 says that Jesus
is rCLthe radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his
naturerCY (Hebrews 1:3, ESV). He upholds the universe by His word. In
Hebrews 1:8, God the Father says to the Son, rCLYour throne, O God, is
forever and everrCY (Hebrews 1:8, ESV). This is a direct call to the Son
    as God.

Peter also confessed this truth. He opened his second letter by
addressing believers who have received faith rCLby the righteousness of
our God and Savior Jesus ChristrCY (2 Peter 1:1, ESV). This pairing of
rCLGod and SaviorrCY refers to one PersonrCoJesus Christ.

Even the Old Testament titles and actions of God are applied to Jesus.
God is called the first and the last (Isaiah 44:6). Jesus takes this
same name in Revelation 22:13. God says He created everything alone
(Isaiah 44:24), yet John says all things were made through Jesus (John
1:3), and Paul agrees (Colossians 1:16-17). Jesus is not a lesser god.
He is the Creator and sustainer of all things.

Jesus also bears the name above every name. In Philippians 2:10-11, all creation bows to Him and confesses Him as Lord. This word rCLLordrCY (Greek: kurios) often translates the Hebrew name Yahweh in the Septuagint.
Romans 10:13 quotes Joel 2:32, saying, rCLEveryone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved.rCY Paul applies that to Jesus (Romans 10:9-13), showing that calling on Jesus is calling on Yahweh.

JesusrCOs resurrection proves His claims. God raised Him from the dead to
show that He is the Son of God in power (Romans 1:4). He now sits at
GodrCOs right hand (Hebrews 1:3), receives worship from angels (Hebrews
1:6), and will return to judge the world (Acts 17:31), a role that
belongs to God alone (Genesis 18:25).

Some try to deny His deity by saying He prayed to the Father or called
the Father His God. But these truths show His humanity and His
relationship to the Father, not a denial of deity. Jesus became fully
man without ceasing to be fully God. He lived in perfect dependence on
the Father as the second Adam (Romans 5:18-19; Philippians 2:6-8). He
prayed, submitted, and obeyed to accomplish our salvation. The eternal
Son added human nature so He could die for sins, rise again, and bring
many sons to glory (Hebrews 2:10).

The Trinity explains this. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit are
distinct Persons, but each is fully God. The Son is not the Father, but
He shares the same divine nature. The Son came in the flesh. The Spirit applies His work. The Father sent the Son, the Son obeyed, and the
    Spirit testifies (John 14rCo16).

To reject Jesus as God is to reject the gospel. Unless He is truly God,
He cannot save (John 8:24). A creature cannot bear the infinite wrath of
God for our sins. Only God can save sinners (Isaiah 43:11). Jesus, fully
God and fully man, bore our punishment and rose again. This gospel
centers on who He is (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

The Scriptures speak with one voice: Jesus is God. He is the eternal
Word made flesh, the Son of God who shares the nature, works, titles,
and worship of the Father. He is not just a good teacher or a powerful prophet. He is rCLour great God and SaviorrCY (Titus 2:13, ESV). To believe
in Him is to believe in God. To deny Him is to reject the only hope of salvation.

Jesus, God, deity, Scripture, worship, Creator, Savior, Yahweh, Trinity, resurrection, gospel, Lord

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

The message that Christ died for our sins and rose from the dead is the
only true, saving gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9). Any
other message is false and condemns people to conscious, eternal torment
in the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:18-19; Revelation
14:11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:14-15). Denying that Jesus is God guarantees you will die in your sins (John 8:24).

Christ bore our sins on the cross to clear our debt before God
(Colossians 2:14), and His resurrection stands as proof of that finished
work (Romans 1:4). Now, God justly forgives those who believe (Romans
3:26), granting escape from His impending judgment (1 Thessalonians
1:10). This mercy is a free gift accessible only through faith (Romans
6:23). If you believe this truth, call upon the Lord to save you today

You are thinking God made physics. I think Nature did. Some,
like Einstein, believed Spinoza's concept of an impersonal
God who was the embodiment of the natural laws of the
universe, and kept the universe following the laws.

Whatever your POV, the discovery and theory of natural laws
is science. Who "created" natural laws is a question of

Plausible, but hard to fit into that box. NWT and NIV give
    different understandings.

Canopy of water over earth is impossible. We're talking
29,000 feet of water being stored in the atmosphere. The
pressure would be greater than at the bottom of the ocean.
All that water (or vapor) would block the sunlight from
earth. The water would displace all the O2.

This is sometimes used as a what-if for Noah's flood. It
    just doesn't work.

    (round earth hanging etc)
    So in summary we have:

A spherical earth hanging in space by nothing.

    Not bad for B.C.E. sheepherders!

Again, by the time most of the OT was written down, it was
already widely known that the earth was round. Certainly the
Greeks knew it when they translated the Septuagint.

    How do you know?

Because they were educated greeks from Alexandria, a center
of learning. They knew that Aristotle proved the earth was
round in 400 BCE, and that Eristosthenes measured &
calculated the size of the earth in 240 BCE.

But there is part B. God hanged the earth upon nothing.Did the B.CE
Greeks know that also? I do know that Aristotle teachings back then
taught that things in the sky, like stars, moon, etc, had to be
    hanging from something.

That's a different discussion, just sayin'.

Moses even existed, and archaeological evidence (or lack
thereof) suggested the exodus never happened, and that there
were no large numbers of Jews enslaved in Egypt.

That's a different discussion, just sayin'.

Professor of Egyptology J. A. Wilson stated,

oEgyptian records were always positive, emphasizing the successes of
the pharaoh or the god, whereas failures and defeats were never
mentioned, except in some context of the distant past.o (The World
History of the Jewish People, 1964, Vol. I, pp. 338, 339)

The Egyptians even lied about their successes, such as one particular
Pharaoh (I can't remember his name) who claimed to have
single-handedly by himself, with his sword killed thousands of his
enemies on the battle field, down to the last one. And he had that
ludicrous information recorded on various monuments etc.

And if the Egyptians didn't like what was recorded on the monuments
and things in the past, they would get stone cutters to go around and
remove all the information they didn't want people to see. Thus even
if the accomplishment of the enslavement of the Hebrews was at one
time recorded for boasting, it could have been removed by later
Pharaoh's who didn't want to be reminded of the degrading experience
their predecessors had with the Hebrews and their God.

Thus we shouldn't be the least bit surprised to not find any mention
of the Egyptians humiliating experience with the Israelites and their
exodus etc, in the ancient Egyptian writings remaining today. (Nor,
    the highly involved Moses)

But notice the difference in the writings of the Bible, and how they
recorded their defeats and weaknesses as well as their successes etc.
That would be one earmark of truthful writing.

But there is some mention of Moses outside of the Bible. For example
the writings of the 1st century historian Josephus in the work
    "Against Apion (I, 38-40 [8])". He wrote:

"We do not possess myriads of inconsistent books, conflicting with
each other. Our books, those which are justly accredited, are but two
and twenty, and contain the record of all time. Of these, five are the
books of Moses, comprising the laws and the traditional history from
the birth of man down to the death of the lawgiver. . . . From the
death of Moses until Artaxerxes, who succeeded Xerxes as king of
Persia, the prophets subsequent to Moses wrote the history of the
events of their own times in thirteen books. The remaining four books
contain hymns to God and precepts for the conduct of human life."

So at least in the first century, there must have been some consensus
around that Moses was a real historical figure.

God appeared to Abraham (Gen 18)
    Jacob saw God (Gen 32)
Moses spoke with God face to face, as to a
    friend (Ex 33:11)
Moses, Aaron & 70 elders saw God (Ex 24)
God shows Moses his butt (Ex 33:23)
As illustrated by Michelangelo on the ceiling
    of the Sistine Chapel:
    <https://www.dailyartmagazine.com/michelangelo-warrior-pope-and-gods-bottom/>

    See above.

Who did Mary and Mary Magdalene see at Jesus's tomb?

Show me the Scriptures you are referring to.

    Matthew: They saw an angel.
    Mark: a man.
    Luke: two men.
    John: two angels.

When there is multiple Bible statements on a subject, it is the
differing writing style of the writer. If Matthew said 1 angel, and
John says 2, then just put them together. Then there was certainly 1
angel according to John plus a 2nd one. Thus there were 2 angels seen.

    Luke 24:4:

    -- King James
Luke 24:4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed
thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

Those "two men" were angels. How do we know? They had glowing cloths.
Also the women recodnized them as not being ordinary male Jews,
    because of verse 5:

    "-- King James
Luke 24:5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the
earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?"

They wouldn't act that way if they were ordinary men.

The Bible tells us to REASON on the Scriptures. (Acts 17:2) If a
person doesn't reason on them, they can end up in the dark.

Here is the account in Luke: Luke 24:22-24 KJV:

    22. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished,
    which were early at the sepulchre;
    23. And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they
had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
    24. And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre,
and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

So in Luke it wasn't 2 men but "angels", plural, which means at least
    more than one.

Where ever was your source, don't fall for it. They tried to trick you
thinking you are some kind of moron that can't reason on the
    Scriptures

    Thus in summary we have:

Matthew= An angel (he talked to just one angel, when there were two
    present) (
Mark= Two angels (Luke said their cloths were glowing. Mark didn't
mention that and only recounts '1 glowing man' (angel) (Mark 15:46)
    Luke= angels (Lu 24:23)
    John= Two angels (John 20:12)

    How did Judas die?

Please show me the Scriptures you are referring to.

I did recall a couple of Scriptures was needed to get to the truth.
Judas hanged himself over a cliff. Then the rope broke and he fell
spilling his guts out. But show me what you think.

    Matthew 27:5 Judas hanged himself.
Acts 1:18 Judas fell and his guts burst out.

    Two separate narratives.

Do you believe Judas just ran up to a cliff and jumped off?
When we reason on it, its what I said above. Matthew highligted the
hanging, but Luke (the writer of Acts and a doctor), focused more on
    the physiology of the man.

You see, the gospels were not just copied. They each wrote what an
account meant to them. Thus there was no collusion going on here.

If you want to give them to me one at a time, I will comment on them.
I do recall a couple of Scriptures that Bible scholars say was copiest
errors in the OT. It had to do with quantaties. (like 1000 chariots,
    or 10,000 chariots)

You can see them for yourself. How bout the first one,:
"1. Jesus' lineage was traced through David's son Solomon.
    Mt1:6.
Jesus' lineage was traced through David's son Nathan.
    Lk3:31"

Both Scriptures are correct. You might say, "How can they both be
correct when they are clearly a contradiction?"

Actually they are not a contradiction and here is why.

Matthew traces the geniology from Soloman to Joseph, Jesus step
father. This gave Jesus the LEGAL right to things.

Doctor Luke traces the geniology from Solomon to Mary's apparent
father, Heli. This gave Jesus the NATURAL right to things.

So there were double testamony as to Jesus' linage.
Thus there is no real contradiction here.

Orbital mechanics. Newton explained the physics of why
bodies orbit 300 years ago. Nothing needed to "support"
    anything.

Who made the physics that Newton discovered? So to answer you in your
nomanclature, God made the "orbital mechanics" that keeps the earth
    stable. (Gen 1:1)

You are thinking God made physics. I think Nature did.

Yet 'nature', like evolution, has no brain! Yet it conjured up all the
forces to be used in a certain mathematical way to produce the
complicated laws of physics?? People put a lot of stock in random
    chance.

And if that is true, you should be able to go into the woods and find
a log cabin completely furnished with furniture, all the plumbing, and
even electricity created by mindless nature.

God, the super mathematician, knows the working of things down to
infinite microscopics, and massive cosmic superstructures and greater.
No mindless thing can do that.

    Some,
like Einstein, believed Spinoza's concept of an impersonal
God who was the embodiment of the natural laws of the
universe, and kept the universe following the laws.

Whatever your POV, the discovery and theory of natural laws
is science. Who "created" natural laws is a question of
    religion.

Actually it is a question of logic. Naturnal laws are purely
mathematical and can be highly complicated. (at least for me)

    (snip flat-earth verses),

As I said, the BIBLE shows a spherical earth floating in space
attached to nothing. (Isa 40:22; Job 26:7) Yes, unbelievers want to
ignore that proof of Bible wisdom.

    but note this one:

(2 Peter 3:5) For they deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago
there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in
the midst of water by the word of God; (NWT)

Plausible, but hard to fit into that box. NWT and NIV give
    different understandings.

So does KJV and RSV. And NAS & NAB, etc. You need to see the best
Greek documents of that verse to see who was closest.

That means there was a lot of water on the earth, and water canapy
above the earth. (high in the atmosphere) It was like Venus looks
today, except their clouds surrounding it are made up of sulfuric
acid, etc, instead of the earth's water vapor.
(I surely won't be sunbathing on Venus)

Canopy of water over earth is impossible. We're talking
29,000 feet of water being stored in the atmosphere. The
pressure would be greater than at the bottom of the ocean.
All that water (or vapor) would block the sunlight from
earth. The water would displace all the O2.

You are guessing about the possible outcomes. Let's try this:

Water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon. How much would the water weigh in
a hurricane. How can something so heavy still hang in the atmosphere?
If I take a gallon milk jug, and fill it with water, and throw it high
in the air, guess what happens?

And try this. I have worked with Sulfuric acid before, and a gallon of
it is not light. A gallon is approx 15 lbs. So if a gallon of water
weighs around 8 lbs, and would be too heavy to surround the earth, how
can a liquid environment that is almost twice as heavy as water,
    surround Venus?

This is sometimes used as a what-if for Noah's flood. It
    just doesn't work.

    See above.

    Good for him.

But the Bible outdates them. Isaiah ("the circle of the earth") was
written in the 8th century BCE.

The book of Job, around the 15th century BCE. ("hangs the earth upon
nothing"). How would sheepherders of all people, know such things?

But there is part B. God hanged the earth upon nothing.Did the B.CE

angel according to John plus a 2nd one. Thus there were 2 angels seen.

No. It's a matter of simple statements, not writing style.

1 or 2 angels is not 1 or 2 men. Forgivable confusion, but
    still a contradiction.

If you reason on the scriptures, they become incredible. Or,

"Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for
atheism ever conceived." - Isaac Asimov

Here is the account in Luke: Luke 24:22-24 KJV:

    22. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished,
    which were early at the sepulchre;

This is Peter telling Jesus in disguise, what he had heard.

    Luke 24 1-4:
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the
women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.
2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when
they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4
While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in
clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.

If you want to call this another contradiction within the
    same chapter, fine with me.

Where ever was your source, don't fall for it. They tried to trick you thinking you are some kind of moron that can't reason on the
    Scriptures

Lol. My source was the bible. Ok, I won't fall for it.

    Thus in summary we have:

Matthew= An angel (he talked to just one angel, when there were two
    present) (
Mark= Two angels (Luke said their cloths were glowing. Mark didn't
mention that and only recounts '1 glowing man' (angel) (Mark 15:46)

Mark says there was 1 man in white clothes. Why are you
correcting this to match Luke's story?

Mark 16:5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man
dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they
    were alarmed.

It's not surprising that Mark 16 would be contradictory.
There are various renditions of that chapter, and the last 12
verses of Mark were added after the fact.

    Luke= angels (Lu 24:23)
    John= Two angels (John 20:12)

No, I don't believe any of it. But why the discrepancy?

When we reason on it, its what I said above. Matthew highligted the
hanging, but Luke (the writer of Acts and a doctor), focused more on
    the physiology of the man.

You see, the gospels were not just copied. They each wrote what an
account meant to them. Thus there was no collusion going on here.

That doesn't explain why the accounts differed in facts.

Face it, James, it's a contradiction.

Also from a previous post by Mitchell Holman:
194 Contradictions in the New Testament
    <https://www.slideshare.net/salehusman585/194-contradiction-sin-the-new-testament-of-the-bible>

Luke's geneology doesn't say anything about Mary's family. It
may be Mary's lineage, as the geneologies are completely
different, and I've heard also that one is Mary's lineage.
But Luke certainly doesn't say that, it says this is Joseph's
    lineage.

    Dubious at best.

You are thinking God made physics. I think Nature did.

Yet 'nature', like evolution, has no brain! Yet it conjured up all the
forces to be used in a certain mathematical way to produce the
complicated laws of physics?? People put a lot of stock in random
    chance.

    So?

Is it a surprise that a universe would have natural laws that
function, well, universally? That's not evidence for God,
only evidence for (as far as we know) consistent natural
    laws.

This is the fallacy of argument from ignorance; you don't
understand how natural laws can exist without God, therefore
    they can't.

And if that is true, you should be able to go into the woods and find
a log cabin completely furnished with furniture, all the plumbing, and
even electricity created by mindless nature.

    Now you're being silly.

I'm not guessing. This is a simple application of stuff I
studied in high school and college. The more mass there is
above you, the greater the pressure on you. How can you have
29,000 feet of water over you and not have thousands of psi
of pressure pushing on you? Unless you want to invoke the
    firmament supporting it.

There was no canopy of water storing floodwaters for noah's
    flood.

Water weighs about 8 lbs per gallon. How much would the water weigh in
a hurricane. How can something so heavy still hang in the atmosphere?
If I take a gallon milk jug, and fill it with water, and throw it high
in the air, guess what happens?

What does that have to do with anything we're talking about?

    (round earth hanging etc)
    So in summary we have:

A spherical earth hanging in space by nothing.

Round, not spherical. Round can be flat.

Again, i'd be impressed with that anyway, were it not for
many other passages, even in the NT, that clearly reflected a
    flat earth cosmology.

    Good for him.

But the Bible outdates them. Isaiah ("the circle of the earth") was
written in the 8th century BCE.

Depends on which part of Isaiah. It's believed to have 3
different authors, written mostly in the 8th and 6th century
BCE. The Septuagint wasn't translated until the 3rd century
    bce.

The book of Job, around the 15th century BCE. ("hangs the earth upon nothing"). How would sheepherders of all people, know such things?

No, Job is about a thousand years later than that.

Thank you for your replies, James, I appreciate your time,
    effort and explanations.

    Thank you for your beliefs.
