Can sincerity save a person?
Many church goers fully believe and support their church.
They believe strongly that the faith they are in, will bring
them eternal life.
Many people do many things in Jesus' name. Can that in itself
save a person?
Jesus answers that question at Mt 7:21-23,
21. "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' shall enter the
kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22. "Many will say to Me in that day, `Lord, Lord, have we not
prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many
wonders in Your name?'
23. "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; depart from
Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (NKJV)
So can being sincere and using Jesus' name in most situations make God
accept that person? Jesus clearly answered that right above. "depart
from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' (NKJV; Mt 7:21)"
So what gets a person saved? Doing "the will of My Father in Heaven."
(Mt 7:21)
So just do that once, and you are saved? Jesus answers:

Matthew 24:13 "But he who endures to the end shall be saved."
Thus being a real Christian means, continuing doing God's will and
enduring to the end.
