Lake of Fire is not literal.

    For proof notice:

    -- King James
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
    This is the second death.

Can "death" be burned with a literal fire? Can "hell" be burned?
Can either one of them be TORTURED? Of course they can't.

Thus that Lake of Fire represents something else. What is that?
It comes right from that same Scripture; "the second death".

The Reality of the Lake of Fire

The Lake of Fire is a Definite Place of Conscious Punishment for
    Personal Beings

    (1) Revelation 20:10rCo"and the devil who had deceived them was thrown
into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet
were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
    (Revelation 20:10 ESV)

    Notice what the Scripture affirms:

First, the devil is a personal, conscious being.

Second, the beast and the false prophet are personal beings already there.

Third, they are not annihilated; they are tormented day and night
    forever and ever.

    (2) Matthew 25:41rCo"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from
me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his
    angels.'" (Matthew 25:41 ESV)

    Notice:

First, the fire is an actual place prepared for specific, conscious,
personal beingsrCothe devil and his angels.

Second, wicked men share that exact same destination with those personal beings.

Proposition: The lake of fire is a real, literal destination of
everlasting, conscious punishment, prepared for personal beings who
    experience continuous torment.

Literal Men with Resurrected Bodies are Cast into the Lake of Fire

    (1) Revelation 20:15rCo"And if anyone's name was not found written in the
book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:15 ESV)

    (2) Revelation 21:8rCo"But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the
detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns
with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 ESV)

    (3) Matthew 10:28rCo"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot
kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in
    hell." (Matthew 10:28 ESV)

    Notice:

First, actual menrComurderers, liars, and all whose names are not in the
Book of LiferCoare cast into this lake.

Second, they are cast there following the general resurrection of the
wicked (Revelation 20:12-13), in both body and soul.

Third, because literal bodies are cast into this judgment, the place of
their punishment is an actual, literal reality.

Proposition: Literal, resurrected persons are consigned to the lake of
fire to suffer retribution in both body and soul.

The Casting of Death and Hades into the Lake of Fire Signifies the Final Abolition of the Intermediate State

    (1) Revelation 20:13rCo"And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death
and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each
one of them, according to what they had done." (Revelation 20:13 ESV)

    (2) Revelation 20:14rCo"Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:14 ESV)

    (3) 1 Corinthians 15:26rCo"The last enemy to be destroyed is death." (1 Corinthians 15:26 ESV)

    Notice:

First, Hades is the temporary holding place of the departed wicked
spirits, and Death claims their physical bodies.

Second, both give up their occupants for the final judgment before the
    Great White Throne.

Third, when Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, it means
the temporary realm of death and the grave is forever swallowed up and
ended. Physical death will never claim another victim; the temporary
realm of Hades will never again hold another soul.

Fourth, casting an entity or domain into the lake of fire to indicate
its final elimination does not prove the lake itself is non-existent or
a mere figure of speech, any more than casting trash into a furnace
proves the furnace is not real fire.

Proposition: The casting of Death and Hades into the lake of fire marks
the total, permanent termination of physical death and the intermediate
realm, leaving only the eternal state.

The Second Death is Defined by Scripture as the Lake of Fire, Not
    Annihilation

    (1) Revelation 21:8rCo"...their portion will be in the lake that burns
with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 ESV)

    (2) Revelation 20:10, 14-15rCoThe lake of fire is specifically identified
as the place where the wicked are thrown, and where the devil, the
beast, and the false prophet "will be tormented day and night forever
    and ever." (Revelation 20:10 ESV)

    Notice:

First, the Bible interprets its own terms. It does not say the lake of
fire represents a figurative idea; it plainly states that the second
death consists of having one's portion in the lake that burns with fire
    and sulfur.

Second, just as the first death is the separation of the soul from the
body, the second death is the final, eternal separation of the
resurrected sinner from the presence of God in conscious torment.

Proposition: The term "second death" does not reduce the lake of fire to
an abstract metaphor; rather, Scripture defines the second death as the reality of being cast into the lake of fire.

    Summary

    The Scriptures plainly reveal:

The lake of fire contains personal beingsrCoSatan, the beast, the false prophet, and unsaved sinners.

These beings are consciously tormented forever and ever.

Actual, resurrected men with bodies and souls are cast into it.

The throwing of Death and Hades into the lake demonstrates the final
abolition of the grave and the intermediate state.

To argue that the lake of fire is figurative because Death and Hades are
cast into it is to ignore the direct testimony of God's Word, which
explicitly shows living beings suffering eternal, conscious retribution
    in that very place.

    Good News rCa

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

To be saved, one must believe the only true gospel: Christ died for our
sins and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9).
Every false gospel leads individuals to conscious, eternal torment in
the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:18-19; Revelation
14:9-11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:14-15). Denying that Jesus is
God means dying in your sins (John 8:24).

The crucifixion of Christ completely satisfied the debt of our sins
toward God (Colossians 2:14), which God verified by bringing Him back to
life (Romans 1:4). As a result, God is proven just when He forgives
believers (Romans 3:26) and delivers them from the approaching wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10). Eternal salvation is a free gift appropriated by
faith (Romans 6:23). If you believe in Him, call on the Lord for your deliverance (Romans 10:9-13):
