New Years. A celebration right out of pagandom

"In 46 B.C.E. the Roman emperor Julius Caesar first established
January 1 as New YearAs day. Janus was the Roman god of doors and
gates, and had two faces, one looking forward and one back. Caesar
felt that the month named after this god (oJanuaryo) would be the
appropriate odooro to the year. Caesar celebrated the first January 1
New Year by ordering the violent routing of revolutionary Jewish
forces in the Galilee. Eyewitnesses say blood flowed in the streets.
In later years, Roman pagans observed the New Year by engaging in
drunken orgiesua ritual they believed constituted a personal
re-enacting of the chaotic world that existed before the cosmos was
    ordered by the gods.

As Christianity spread, pagan holidays were either incorporated into
the Christian calendar or abandoned altogether." (http://www.simpletoremember.com/articles/a/newyearshistory/)

Christian Liberty Regarding The Observance Of Holidays

1 The Freedom Of Personal Conviction

One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems
all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
    (Romans 14:5, ESV)

The Bible clearly teaches that the evaluation of specific days is a
matter of personal conviction. It is not a matter of universal law for
the church. One Christian may choose to observe a specific day as
special, while another may consider every day to be the same. The
biblical mandate is not uniformity of practice, but that each believer
must evaluate the matter and be fully convinced in their own mind.

2 The Proper Motivation For Observing Or Not Observing Days

The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one
who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while
the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to
    God. (Romans 14:6, ESV)

The standard for observing a day is whether it is done to honor the
Lord. If a believer celebrates a holiday with a heart to honor God and
give thanks, they are acting biblically. Likewise, if another believer refrains from celebrating that same holiday in order to honor God, they
are also acting biblically. The Lord receives and honors both positions
when the motivation is gratitude toward Him.

3 The Prohibition Against Judging Others In Matters Of Liberty

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a
    brother. (Romans 14:13, ESV)

Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and
drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.
    (Colossians 2:16, ESV)

The Scriptures expressly forbid Christians from condemning one another
over the observance of festivals or days. When the Bible gives us
liberty, we must not impose legalistic regulations on our brethren.
Attempting to bind another believer's conscience in areas where God has explicitly granted freedom is a direct violation of biblical teaching.

    General Proposition

The observance or non-observance of holidays is a matter of Christian
liberty and personal conscience, not a subject for legalistic regulation
    or mutual condemnation.

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

The solitary true and saving gospel is that Christ died for our sins and
rose from the grave (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9). Any
modification of this gospel is false and leads to conscious, eternal
    torment in the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:36;
Revelation 14:11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15). Unless you
believe Jesus is God, you will die in your sins (John 8:24).

Jesus took our place on the cross to settle our debt with God
(Colossians 2:14), and God confirmed the acceptance of this payment by
raising Him from death (Romans 1:4). Thus, God remains holy while
justifying the ungodly (Romans 3:26) and shielding them from future
wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10). This blessing is a free gift given to
those who believe (Romans 6:23). Place your confidence in Christ and
call on Him for salvation (Romans 10:9-13):

Satan's Witnesses promote a false gospel of "comfort" which was designed
by Satan, to lead men to the very conscious, eternal torment they feign indignation over.

Sending men to eternal, conscious torment for rejecting God's loving
provision of Christ's substitutionary atonement for their sins is not
    sadism. It's justice.

The Justice Of God In The Condemnation Of Sinners

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Pagans

"For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown
it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and
divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of
the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without
    excuse." (Romans 1:19-20 ESV)

Proposition: The pagan who has never heard the written law or the Gospel
is justly condemned because God has clearly revealed His eternal power
and divine nature to him through creation, leaving him entirely without excuse.

The heathen is not condemned for rejecting a Savior of whom he has never heard. He is condemned because he has rejected the plain knowledge of
God that is displayed all around him in the physical universe. He has
looked at the creation, known in his heart that there must be an
all-powerful Creator, and yet refused to worship Him as God, turning
instead to idolatry and moral corruption. God's condemnation of him is perfectly just because it is based on the light he has willfully rejected.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Self-Righteous Men

"Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For
in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the
judge, practice the very same things." (Romans 2:1 ESV)

"Do you suppose, O manrCoyou who judge those who practice such things and
yet do them yourselfrCothat you will escape the judgment of God?" (Romans
    2:3 ESV)

Proposition: The moral and self-righteous man is justly condemned
because he judges others for sins that he himself commits in secret,
proving that he knows the standard of right and wrong and is a hypocrite.

The self-righteous man often thinks his moral discernment and outward respectability will save him. But the very fact that he can point out
and condemn the sins of others proves that he understands God's
righteous standard. Since he knows the standard, yet still violates it himself, his own mouth condemns him. His condemnation is completely just because he acts as a judge over others while remaining guilty of the
    very same offenses.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of All Men

"None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for
God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one
does good, not even one." (Romans 3:10-12 ESV)

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23 ESV)

Proposition: Every single human being is justly condemned because there
is not a single person who has lived up to God's glorious standard.

God's standard of justice is absolute perfection. No human being can
claim to have met this standard. The Bible declares plainly that every individual has willfully crossed the line of God's law and failed to
reflect His glory. There is no distinction; every mouth is stopped, and
the entire world stands guilty and justly condemned under the holy
    judgment of God.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Men Due To Inherited Sin

"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother
    conceive me." (Psalm 51:5 ESV)

Proposition: Every human being is born with a corrupt, sinful nature
inherited from birth, making them sinners by nature and justly subject
to God's condemnation from the very beginning of their existence.

Sin is not merely an outward act; it is an inward condition of the
heart. We do not become sinners because we sin; we sin because we are
born as sinners. From the moment of conception, our nature is bent
toward rebellion against God. Because God is infinitely holy, He must
condemn not only sinful actions but also a corrupt, sinful nature that
    is hostile to Him.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Men Due To Federal And Seminal Sin
    In Adam

"Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death
through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned" (Romans
    5:12 ESV)

"Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act
of righteousness leads to justification for all." (Romans 5:18 ESV)

"One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, for he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchizedek met him." (Hebrews 7:9-10 ESV)

Proposition: All men are justly condemned because they were legally and organically represented by Adam when he fell. When Adam sinned, the
entire human race sinned in him, resulting in the imputation of his
    guilt to every descendant.

God established Adam as the federal head, or legal representative, of
all humanity. Just as a nation is bound by the decisions of its ruler,
so the entire human race is bound by the act of its original
representative. Furthermore, we were seminally present in Adam when he rebelled. Just as Levi, generations before his birth, is described as
paying tithes to Melchizedek because he was still in the body of
Abraham, so every human being was present in Adam when he chose to sin. AdamrCOs guilt is our guilt, and his condemnation is our condemnation.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Men Due To Judicial Sin

"But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise
by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe."
    (Galatians 3:22 ESV)

Proposition: God has judicially declared and concluded that all men are
shut up under the power and guilt of sin, leaving them with no hope of escaping condemnation by their own efforts.

The word "imprisoned" (or "concluded") is a legal, judicial term. God,
acting as the Supreme Judge of the universe, has examined the human race
and officially handed down the verdict: "Guilty." He has locked all of humanity in the prison-house of sin. This judicial act of God shuts
every door of self-salvation and leaves man completely dependent on His sovereign mercy.

GodrCOs Justice In The Condemnation Of Men For Unbelief In Jesus Christ

"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe
is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the
only Son of God." (John 3:18 ESV)

"And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people
loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil."
    (John 3:19 ESV)

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the
Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him." (John 3:36
    ESV)

Proposition: The greatest and most damning sin of all, which guarantees
a man's final condemnation, is the willful rejection of GodrCOs provision
of salvation in His Son, Jesus Christ.

God has provided a perfect, free way of escape from all our sin, guilt,
and inherited condemnation. To reject this provision is the ultimate act
of rebellion. The man who refuses to believe in Jesus Christ is not
waiting to be condemned at some future date; he is condemned already.
His unbelief proves that he loves his darkness and his sin more than he
loves the holy light of God. This makes his condemnation completely and utterly just.
