    Non-Christian Holidays (2 Cor 6:14-17)

'14.... for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness?...
    16. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
    17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith
the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
    (KJV)

What constitutes a non-Christian holiday? Compare with the Bible.

There are so many holidays throughout the world. But here are a few of
    the main ones:

    INDEPENDANCE DAY
Christians are to be "no part of the world". (John 15:19)

" but I say that what the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons
and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers with the
demons. 21aYou cannot be drinking the cup of Jehovah and the cup of
demons; you cannot be partaking of othe table of Jehovaho and the
table of demons." (1 Cor 10:20-22; KJV)

    EASTER
The resurrection of Christ with colored eggs and rabbits? The latter
come from who that holiday is named after; the sex goddess Eastre.

The Westminster Dictionary of the Bible has to say about this on page
    145:

"Easter. Originally the spring festival in honor of the Teutonic
goddess of light and spring known in Anglo-Saxon as Eastre. As early
as the 8th century the name was transferred by the Anglo-Saxons to the Christian festival designed to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
In A.V. [Authorized Version] it occurs once (Acts 12:4), but is a mistranslation."

    CHRISTMAS
How can the birth of Christ be considered pagan worship? This holiday
is full of false religious practices.

If God wanted His followers to celebrate it, He would have given the
    birth date. He did not.

The "three wise men" were Astrologers. A practice condemned by God.
    (Isa 47:13,14)

In the Holy Bible there are only two recordings of a birthday being
celebrated. Both were pagans, and both had some one die on that day:

    "AI Overview
Christmas traditions blend the Christian celebration of JesusA birth
with ancient pagan winter solstice festivals (Wiki)"

Herod wanted to kill Jesus, so he duped those Astrologers to find
Jesus for him. But God warned them in a dream not to go back to Herod
    once they found him.

Also, those Astrologers visited a "child" in a "house", not a baby in
    a manger. (Mt 2:11)

Also, not once in the Bible did any of Jesus' apostles celebrate Jesus birthday, or any birthday for that matter.

The Bible says the day of death is better than the day of birth. (Ec
    7:1)

Also, even though the Astrologers came to worship Jesus, they were
sent by the murderer Herod. But God sent His own people who were
shepherds living out of doors. (thus it was not cold December)

    The Kuserow family of persecution
    by the Nazis.

    Non-Christian Holidays (2 Cor 6:14-17)

    [Snip legalistic one-uppery]

Christian Liberty Regarding The Observance Of Holidays

1 The Freedom Of Personal Conviction

One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. (Romans 14:5, ESV)

The Bible clearly teaches that the evaluation of specific days is a matter of personal conviction. It is not a matter of universal law for the church. One Christian may choose to observe a specific day as special, while another may consider every day to be the same. The biblical mandate is not uniformity of practice, but that each believer must evaluate the matter and be fully convinced in their own mind.

2 The Proper Motivation For Observing Or Not Observing Days

The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. (Romans 14:6, ESV)

The standard for observing a day is whether it is done to honor the Lord. If a believer celebrates a holiday with a heart to honor God and give thanks, they are acting biblically. Likewise, if another believer refrains from celebrating that same holiday in order to honor God, they are also acting biblically. The Lord receives and honors both positions when the motivation is gratitude toward Him.

3 The Prohibition Against Judging Others In Matters Of Liberty

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. (Romans 14:13, ESV)

Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. (Colossians 2:16, ESV)

The Scriptures expressly forbid Christians from condemning one another over the observance of festivals or days. When the Bible gives us liberty, we must not impose legalistic regulations. Attempting to bind another believer's conscience in areas where God has explicitly granted freedom is a direct violation of biblical teaching.

    General Proposition

The observance or non-observance of holidays is a matter of Christian liberty and personal conscience, not a subject for legalistic regulation or condemnation.

    Good News rCa

Christ's death on a cross paid the debt we owe God for our sins (Colossians 2:14). God raised Him from the dead to prove this (Romans 1:4). This means God can now remain right, while forgiving our sins (Romans 3:26) and delivering us from His coming wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10). It's a free gift for those who believe in Christ (Romans 6:23).If you believe, call on the Lord to save you (Romans 10:9-13):
