    (3) Revelation 6:9-10

"When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, 'O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?'" (Revelation 6:9-10 ESV)

A SOUL has blood? Yes it does:

    -- King James
Jeremiah 2:34 Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of
the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all
    these.

"Soul" sounds like a person, doesn't it? That's because it is. (Gen
    2:7)

Third Proposition: The souls of those who have died physically are conscious, they are aware of past events on earth, and they are capable of rational speech and prayer to God.

As you accuse me, I do also. LIES.

As I said before, are you sure?

    3. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom
    there is no help.
    4. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very
    day his thoughts perish.

You are in the most symbolic book of the Bible with beasts with
multiple heads, and a dragon, etc. You can interpret it the way you
want it like you do parables.

Thus you reveal your heretical hermeneutic. You think if you label
something "symbolic" or "parable", then that means you get to assign >whatever meaning you want to it. No, symbols and parables teach truths,
not contradictions. Your entire system of lies needs them to contradict >truths in order to mean what you claim.

You also assign whatever meaning you want to it. You want me to cut
down my branch in my eye, but ignore the chopped down tree in your
    eye.

To begin, when Revelation uses symbolic language, it almost always
indicates such by using phrased such as "like" or "as". For example,
Jesus' voice is "like" a trumpet or "like" the sound of many waters, or
His hair is white "like" wool. In such instances, it is self-evident
that it's giving a comparison that we understand to explain something we
do not. The vast majority of the symbols in Revelation fit this category.

How many symbols? Did you count them all? How about these few:

    "The great whore" (Rev 19:2)
"her smoke rose up" (Vs 3)
"the four beasts fell down and worshipped God." (VS 4)
"the voice of many waters (Vs 6)
"marriage of the Lamb" (Vs 7)
    "a white horse" (Vs 11)
"sat on him "Faithful and True" (Vs 11)

I am going to move on now.

Secondly, when Revelation uses symbolism which is not "like" or "as", it >EXPLAINS what the symbols mean. For example, when it says Jesus is
holding seven stars in His right hand and standing among seven
lampstands (Revelation 1:12u16), it immediately explains, othe seven
stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are
the seven churcheso (Revelation 1:20). Similarly, the great red dragon
is explicitly identified as othat ancient serpent, who is called the
devil and Satano (Revelation 12:9). This consistent patternueither using >clear similes or offering direct explanationsushows that Revelation does
not leave its symbols to private interpretation. When the text does not >indicate symbolic meaning, the burden of proof rests on anyone who
insists it should be read symbolically rather than plainly

    Including you.

JW's know most of which ones are literal, and those that are not. yes
it is a difficult book to explain.

You've been told this repeatedly. You haven't refuted it.

What is "this", and what is "it"?

Also, I have asked several times to comment on a "soul" (nephesh)
being a fish. (Gen 1:20) So far you have ignored it.

    Yet you
persist in your effort to deceive people with the idea that if you
simply say the word "symbol" or "parable", it somehow allows you to pass
off completely Bible-contradicting lies with impunity.

Don't ever get into the mental problems medical. You are not that good
at it. As an example, see dirctly above.

Be specific, so I can see what you are talking about.

Is there symbols in the Bible? Are there parables in the Bible? Yes to
both. Can the reader always understand what he reads in the Bible? Not
    really.

You taking Rev much of it literally, puts your a far as the moon for understanding it.

    But you try.

Can we ever get to see a lasting peace? The Bible's coming peace may
    surprise you.

    Since...

rCo all you've done is said "parable", and "symbol",

rCo parables and symbols teach truths consistent with what they
    state,

rCo parables and symbols do not point to ideas that contradict what
    they state,

rCo parables and symbols do not mean that "anything goes", or that
you get to assign any contradictory meaning to them you choose,

rCo parables or symbols (your claim) which directly state there is
eternal conscious suffering and torment after physical, death
do NOT mean the person does NOT suffer eternal conscious
    torment after death,

you have therefore refuted nothing, and there's no need to change
    anything here:

The Biblical Truth Concerning the Soul and Its Immortality

    1. The Soul Exists Consciously After the Death of the Physical Body
    (1) Matthew 10:28

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew
    10:28 ESV)

First Proposition: The death of the physical body does not mean the
death or cessation of the soul. Man can kill the body, but no man can
kill the soul. The soul survives physical death.

Note: The argument that the "soul" is merely the physical life or the
physical body is completely refuted by this plain statement of Jesus
Christ. If the soul were simply physical life, then anyone who killed
the body would of necessity kill the soul also. But Christ explicitly
declares that men can kill the body but "cannot kill the soul."
Therefore, the soul is a distinct entity from the physical body and
    survives its destruction.

    (2) Luke 16:22-24

"The poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The
rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment, he
lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. And
he called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus to
dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in
anguish in this flame.'" (Luke 16:22-24 ESV)

Second Proposition: Those who have died physically remain fully
conscious after death. They can see, feel, speak, and remember.

    (3) Revelation 6:9-10

"When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those
who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had
borne. They cried out with a loud voice, 'O Sovereign Lord, holy and
true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who
dwell on the earth?'" (Revelation 6:9-10 ESV)
Third Proposition: The souls of those who have died physically are
conscious, they are aware of past events on earth, and they are capable
of rational speech and prayer to God.

    (4) 2 Corinthians 5:8

"Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body
and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8 ESV)
Fourth Proposition: To be absent or away from the physical body is to be present and at home with the Lord. The believer's personal, conscious existence continues apart from the body.

    (5) Philippians 1:23-24

"I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with
Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more
necessary on your account." (Philippians 1:23-24 ESV)
Fifth Proposition: To die physically is to depart and be with Christ in
a state that is far better than life in the flesh. This requires
    conscious enjoyment of Christ's presence.

    (6) 1 Thessalonians 5:23

"Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your
whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our
Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV)
Sixth Proposition: Man is a triune being, consisting of spirit, soul,
and body. While the body is physical and mortal, the spirit and soul
represent the non-physical, enduring parts of man.

    2. The Meaning of "Death" as Applied to the Soul

Some argue that because the Bible says "the soul who sins shall die"
(Ezekiel 18:4 ESV), the soul must cease to exist. But what does the
Bible mean by the "death" of a soul?

    (1) Ephesians 2:1

"And you were dead in the trespasses and sins" (Ephesians 2:1 ESV)
First Proposition: A person can be physically alive but spiritually
"dead" in God's sight. "Death" in Scripture does not mean non-existence,
but separation from the life of God.

    (2) 1 Timothy 5:6

"but she who is self-indulgent is dead even while she lives." (1 Timothy
    5:6 ESV)

Second Proposition: The soul can be "dead" while the physical body is
still living and breathing. Death means spiritual ruin and separation,
not the cessation of consciousness or existence.

    (3) Genesis 35:18

"And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin." (Genesis 35:18 ESV)
Third Proposition: Physical death is described in Scripture as the soul departing from the body. The soul does not cease to exist; it simply
    leaves its physical tabernacle.

    (4) Matthew 25:46

"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matthew 25:46 ESV)
Fourth Proposition: The final state of the wicked is described as
"eternal punishment," which requires the ongoing, conscious existence of
those being punished. If the soul ceased to exist, eternal punishment
    would be impossible.

General Proposition: The Bible clearly teaches that the soul is distinct
from the physical body, survives physical death in a fully conscious
state, and faces an eternal destiny of either conscious fellowship with
God or conscious separation from Him.

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

The true, saving gospel strictly mandates that Christ died for our sins
and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9). All
other gospels are completely false and carry people into conscious,
eternal torment in the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:36; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10-15). You will certainly die in your sins if you deny Jesus is God (John 8:58).

Christ paid our entire sin debt to God on the cross (Colossians 2:14),

Second Proposition: Those who have died physically remain fully conscious after death. They can see, feel, speak, and remember.

    You mean like Ps 146:3,4?

    3. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom
    there is no help.
    4. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very
    day his thoughts perish.

So if they can feel, speak, and remember, how did they do those
    without thoughts? That's some trick!

Jesus wasn't contradicting anything Psalm 146:3-4 taught when he taught
that men go immediately into conscious torment or comfort upon physical
death (Luke 16). This is how I know you are trying to promote a lie
about Psalm 146:3-4. Instead of understanding it in a way that
harmonizes with what Jesus taught, you have to pretend Luke 16 and
Matthew 10:28 don't exist, and like Psalm 146:3-4 teaches something
which contradicts what those passages plainly show: men go right into conscious torment or comfort upon physical death.

That is a parable. In a parable, anything goes.

rCo Nowhere does Luke 16 say Jesus was speaking in parables.
rCo The Bible consistently mentions it when He does (e.g. Mark
    4).
rCo No parable that the Bible identifies as a parable, ever
mentions people by name, including Old Testament saints. Luke
    16 does.

Conclusion: there is zero inspired evidence that Jesus was speaking in parables in Luke 16.

Lies. Parables teach truths, not lies.

IF (and it's not), Luke 16 were a parable, it clearly teaches conscious suffering or comfort after physical death, not the contrary idea that
men simply cease to exist after physical death, and therefore do not experience ongoing, conscious comfort or torment.

For Jesus to talk about how men experience conscious torment or comfort
after physical death, as a motivation for people to avoid such
consequences through faith before they die, shows that your contrary
claim men do not experience conscious torment or comfort after they die,
    is a Bible-contradicting lie.

It entirely points to the fact
the soul survives the death of the body and either goes to a place of
torment or comfort. Nothing in this passage suggests cessation of
    existence after death.

    It makes a moral point
using symbols. You can interpret the symbols any way you want.

Thus you disclose your heretical hermeneutic. You think if you say the
word "parable", that means you get to make it mean whatever you want.
    Pure lies.

    That goes for you also.

I'm not the one stating that parables or symbols mean the exact opposite
of what they say. You are.

This question was posed: What is the meaning of parable in one word?
    "AI Overview
An allegory or a fable. "

    Merriam-Webster..".a short fictitious story..."
    "Synonyms for parable:
    allegory
    fable
    tale"

"A parable is a short, fictitious narrative used to teach a moral
lesson, doctrine, standard of conduct, or religious principle."
    (Encyclopedia Britannica)

By your own, secular, cherry-picked definition, the purpose of a parable is:

    to teach a moral lesson
    to teach doctrine
to teach a standard of conduct
    to teach a religious principle

Now, what "doctrine" does Jesus teach when he warns men in Luke 16 that
when they die they will either experience conscious torment or comfort?

    A. that when men die they will either experience conscious
    torment or comfort.

    B. that when men die, they will NOT experience conscious torment
or comfort, but will cease to exist.

By what kind of strong delusion do you propose that warning people about conscious torment or comfort after physical death should be understood
to mean that men will NOT be conscious after physical death, but
instead, will simply cease to exist, and will NOT experience conscious
    torment or comfort after death?

Where is Abraham? In Heaven? NOT ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE:

    -- Revised Standard
John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from
    heaven, the Son of man.

Thus Abraham, King David, Moses, Ezekiel, etc. NOT ONE OT PERSON WENT
    TO HEAVEN.

You repeat the same, refuted, brain-washed lies over and over:

This claim was made before Jesus ascended. Paradise was in Abraham's
bosom until Christ ascended, then it was moved to heaven.

The Conscious Comfort of Old Testament Saints Before Christ's Resurrection

    (1) Luke 16:22rCo"The poor man died and was carried by the angels to
Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried." (Luke 16:22 ESV)

"CARRIED... TO ABRAHAM'S SIDE." Before the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ, departed believers did not immediately ascend to the
highest heaven. Instead, they were carried by angels to a place of
conscious comfort, fellowship, and rest, referred to by our Lord as
    "Abraham's side" (or "Abraham's bosom").

    (2) Luke 23:43rCo"And he said to him, 'Truly, I say to you, today you will
be with me in paradise.'" (Luke 23:43 ESV)

"TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE." Jesus promised the dying thief
that they would be together in "Paradise" that very day. Since Jesus did
not ascend to the Father's throne until after His resurrection (John
20:17), this "Paradise" was the temporary place of comfort for the
righteous dead, located in the heart of the earth.

First Proposition: Before the resurrection of Christ, departed Old
Testament believers went to a place of conscious, happy rest called
Paradise or Abraham's Bosom, where they eagerly awaited the finished
    work of the Messiah.

The Translation of Elijah and Enoch

    (1) 2 Kings 2:11rCo"And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots
of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up
by a whirlwind into heaven." (2 Kings 2:11 ESV)

"ELIJAH WENT UP... INTO HEAVEN." The Bible records that God made
sovereign exceptions for certain Old Testament prophets, translating
them directly into His heavenly presence without experiencing physical
    death.

    (2) Hebrews 11:5rCo"By faith Enoch was taken up so that he should not see death, and he was not found, because God had taken him. Now before he
was taken he was commended as having pleased God." (Hebrews 11:5 ESV)

"ENOCH WAS TAKEN UP." Just like Elijah, Enoch was taken directly by God
    into His presence.

Second Proposition: While the general assembly of Old Testament saints
waited in Paradise, God made sovereign exceptions for Elijah and Enoch, translating them directly into His presence as a testimony to their faith.

The Emptying of Paradise at Christ's Ascension

    (1) Ephesians 4:8-9rCo"Therefore it says, 'When he ascended on high he led
a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.' (In saying, 'He
ascended,' what does it mean but that he had also descended into the
lower regions, the earth?)" (Ephesians 4:8-9 ESV)

"HE LED A HOST OF CAPTIVES." When Jesus Christ ascended into heaven
after His resurrection, He did not go alone. He went down into the lower regions (the Paradise of Hades), emptied it of the Old Testament saints
who were waiting there, and escorted them triumphantly into the highest heaven.

    (2) 2 Corinthians 12:2-4rCo"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago
was caught up to the third heaven... and he heard things that cannot be
told, which man may not utter." (2 Corinthians 12:2-4 ESV)

"CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD HEAVEN... INTO PARADISE." The Apostle Paul makes
it clear that Paradise is no longer down in the heart of the earth, but
is now located in the "third heaven"rCothe very presence of God's throne.

    (3) Hebrews 11:39-40rCo"And all these, though commended through their
faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had planned
something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made
    perfect." (Hebrews 11:39-40 ESV)

"THAT APART FROM US THEY SHOULD NOT BE MADE PERFECT." The Old Testament believers could not enter the final, perfected heavenly glory until the
blood of Jesus Christ was shed to pay for their sins. Once that
sacrifice was made, they were made perfect and ushered into heaven.

Third Proposition: At His glorious ascension, Jesus Christ relocated
Paradise from the heart of the earth to the highest heaven, leading the
Old Testament saints out of their temporary abode and into the immediate presence of God.

    these.

You do almost nothing but deny and contradict what the New Testament
clearly reveals about the afterlife, by eisegeting confusion into the
    Old Testament.

The Clear Distinction Between The Physical Body And The Soul

    (1) "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul.
Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew
    10:28 ESV)

    "THE BODY" AND "THE SOUL."

Observe that the Lord Jesus Christ explicitly states that men are able
to kill the physical body, but they absolutely "cannot kill the soul."
If the soul were simply the physical body, or if the soul were merely
the physical blood, then anyone who killed the physical body would of necessity kill the soul as well. But Christ says they cannot. Therefore,
the soul is a separate entity from the physical body, and it survives
    the death of that body.

PROPOSITION: The soul is distinct from the physical body and cannot be destroyed by the physical death of the body.

The Conscious Existence Of The Soul After Physical Death

    (1) "When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of
those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they
had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, 'O Sovereign Lord, holy and
true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who
dwell on the earth?'" (Revelation 6:9-10 ESV)

"THE SOULS OF THOSE WHO HAD BEEN SLAIN."

Observe three things in this plain statement of Scripture:

First.rCoThese individuals had undergone physical death; they were "slain."

Second.rCoTheir "souls" were alive and present "under the altar" in heaven.

Third.rCoThese souls were fully conscious. They "cried out with a loud
voice," they remembered their earthly lives, they knew they had been
slain, and they asked for their physical "blood" to be avenged.

If the soul died when the physical body died, or if the soul were merely
the physical blood, there would be no "souls" in heaven capable of
speaking, remembering, and pleading. Their physical "blood" was shed on
the earth, yet their "souls" were consciously alive in heaven. This demonstrates that the physical blood and the conscious soul are not the
    same thing.

PROPOSITION: The souls of the dead exist in a conscious state after
physical death, entirely separate from their physical blood which
    remains on the earth.

    (2) "Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the
body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8 ESV)

    "AWAY FROM THE BODY."

To be "away from the body" is to be "at home with the Lord." If the soul
and the physical body were one and the same, it would be impossible to
be "away from the body" while being "at home with the Lord." The apostle
Paul knew that his true selfrCohis soul and spiritrCowould leave his
physical body at death to enter the conscious presence of Jesus Christ.

PROPOSITION: Death for the believer involves the conscious departure of
the soul from the physical body to go and be with Jesus Christ.

    (3) "I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be
with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account." (Philippians 1:23-24 ESV)

"TO DEPART AND BE WITH CHRIST."

Paul describes death not as a cessation of existence, but as a
"departure" to "be with Christ." He contrasts this departure with
"remaining in the flesh." This proves that the real man is not the
"flesh," but the inner soul that departs the flesh to dwell consciously
with Christ, which he says is "far better."

PROPOSITION: Death for the believer is a conscious departure of the soul
from the physical body to go and be with Jesus Christ.

The True Scriptural Meaning Of "The Blood Of The Souls"

    (1) "Also on your skirts is found the lifeblood of the guiltless poor;
you did not find them breaking in, yet in spite of all these things"
    (Jeremiah 2:34 ESV)

"THE LIFEBLOOD OF THE GUILTLESS POOR."

In the King James Version, this verse is translated: "Also in thy skirts
is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents."
The Hebrew word translated "soul" in the Old Testament is "nephesh," and
the Greek word in the New Testament is "psuche." These words have more
than one meaning in the Holy Scriptures:

First.rCoThey are frequently used to refer to the physical, biological
life of the body, which is sustained by physical blood. As Leviticus
17:11 states, "the life of the flesh is in the blood." When Jeremiah
2:34 speaks of the "blood of the souls of the poor innocents," it is
using the word "soul" in this first senserComeaning their physical,
earthly lives which were poured out in murder. The ESV accurately
translates this Hebrew expression as "the lifeblood of the guiltless
poor." It does not mean that the immaterial, immortal soul of man is
made of physical red blood cells. It simply means they shed the physical
    blood of living persons.

Second.rCoThese words are also used to refer to the immaterial, conscious
part of man that survives physical death. As we have already seen in
Matthew 10:28 and Revelation 6:9-10, this part of man cannot be killed
by men, and it continues to exist in full consciousness after the
    physical blood has been shed.

To take a passage like Jeremiah 2:34, which uses "soul" in the sense of physical life-blood, and use it to deny the conscious survival of the
soul in Revelation 6:9-10 is a grave handling of the Word of God. It
ignores the plain distinction the Bible makes between the physical body
    and the immortal soul.

PROPOSITION: While the word "soul" can refer to the physical life of the
body which is sustained by blood, the Bible clearly teaches that the
soul also refers to the immaterial, conscious part of man which survives physical death.

    Jesus is God: christrose.news/Jesus-God.

No other message can save except the true gospel: Christ died for our
sins and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Galatians 1:8-9). Any contrary gospel is false and plunges people into conscious, eternal
    torment in the lake of fire (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9; John 3:18;
Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:11-15). Denying the
deity of Jesus ensures you will die in your sins (John 8:58).

Through the cross, Christ erased the spiritual debt we owed to God for
our rebellion (Colossians 2:14), a reality established when God raised
Him from the dead (Romans 1:4). God can now righteously pardon our sins (Romans 3:26) and exempt us from the coming divine judgment (1
Thessalonians 1:10). Salvation cannot be earned; it is a free gift for believers (Romans 6:23). Trust in Jesus and invoke His name to be saved (Romans 10:9-13):
