    1)Psalms 89, 96, 100, 101, 105, 132

    PSALMS 89
    A Contemplative Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
    1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever;
    with my mouth I will make known Your faithfulness to all generations.
    2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2 ) For I have said, "Mercy shall be built up forever;
    Your faithfulness shall be established in the heavens."
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) You have said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
    I have sworn to David my servant:
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) 'Your offspring I will establish forever,
    and build up your throne for all generations.' " Selah
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Let the heavens praise Your wonders, O Lord;
    Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
    Who among the heavenly sons is like the Lord?
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) God is greatly to be feared
    in the assembly of the holy ones
    and awesome to all those who surround Him.
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) O Lord God of Hosts, who is a mighty Lord like You,
    with Your faithfulness all around You?
    9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2 ) You rule the raging of the sea;
    when the waves arise, You still them.
    10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17 ) You crushed Rahab like a corpse;
    You scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm.
    11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5 ) The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours;
    the world and all that is in it, You have founded them.
    12 The north and the south, You have created them;
    Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name.
    13 You have a mighty arm,
    and strong is Your hand, and victorious is Your right hand.
    14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
    mercy and truth shall go before Your presence.
    15 Blessed are the people who know the joyful shout.
    They walk, O Lord, in the light of Your presence.
    16 In Your name they rejoice all the day,
    and in Your righteousness they shall be exalted.
    17 For You are the beauty of their strength;
    by Your favor our horn is exalted.
    18 For the Lord is our shield of defense,
    and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
    19 Long ago You spoke in a vision
    to Your godly one and said:
    "I have given help to one who is mighty;
    I have exalted one chosen from the people.
    20 I have found David, My servant;
    with My holy oil I have anointed him:
    21 By whom My hand shall be established;
    My arm also shall strengthen him.
    22 The enemy shall not take tribute from him,
    nor the wicked humiliate him.
    23 I will beat down his foes before him
    and strike down those who hate him.
    24 My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him,
    and in My name his horn shall be exalted.
    25 I will set his hand on the sea
    and his right hand on the rivers.
    26 He shall cry unto Me, 'You are my Father, my God,
    and the Rock of my salvation.'
    27 Also I will make him my firstborn,
    the highest of the kings of the earth.
    28 In My mercy I will keep him forever,
    and My covenant shall stand firm with him.
    29 His offspring also I will establish forever
    and his throne as the days of heaven.
    30 "If his children forsake My law
    and do not walk in My judgments,
    31 if they break My statutes
    and do not keep My commandments,
    32 then I will punish their transgression with the rod
    and their iniquity with lashes.
    33 Nevertheless My lovingkindness I will not remove from him
    nor be false in My faithfulness.
    34 My covenant I will not violate
    nor alter the word that has gone out from My lips.
    35 Once and for all I have sworn by My holiness
    that I will not lie to David:
    36 His offspring shall endure forever,
    and his throne as the sun before Me;
    37 it shall be established forever as the moon
    and as a faithful witness in the heavens." Selah
    38 But now You have cast off and rejected him,
    You have been wrathful with Your anointed king.
    39 You have renounced the covenant with Your servant;
    You have defiled his crown by casting it to the ground.
    40 You have broken down all his walls;
    You have brought his strongholds to ruin.
    41 All who pass by the way plunder him;
    he is a reproach to his neighbors.
    42 You have set high the right hand of his adversaries;
    You have made all his enemies rejoice.
    43 You have also turned back the edge of his sword
    and have not made him stand in battle.
    44 You have made his glory cease
    and cast his throne down to the ground.
    45 The days of his youth You have shortened;
    You have covered him with shame. Selah
    46 How long, O Lord? Will You hide Yourself forever?
    How long shall Your wrath burn like fire?
    47 Remember how short my time is!
    Why have You made all people in such emptiness?
    48 What man can live and not see death?
    Who can deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah
    49 Lord, where are Your former lovingkindnesses,
    which You swore to David in Your faithfulness?
    50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants
    and how I bear in my heart the insults of the many nations,
    51 which Your enemies taunt, O Lord,
    with which they mock the footsteps of Your anointed king.
    52 Blessed be the Lord forever!
    Amen and Amen.

    Psalm 89
    [1] I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I
    make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
    [2] For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness
    shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
    [3] I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my
    servant,
    [4] Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
    [5] And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also
    in the congregation of the saints.
    [6] For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons
    of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
    [7] God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had
    in reverence of all them that are about him.
    [8] O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
    [9] Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
    [10] Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
    [11] The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and
    the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
    [12] The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
    [13] Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. [14] Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
    [15] Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O
    LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
    [16] In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness
    shall they be exalted.
    [17] For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn
    shall be exalted.
    [18] For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
    [19] Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid
    help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
    [20] I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
    [21] With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
    [22] The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict
    him.
    [23] And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that
    hate him.
    [24] But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name
    shall his horn be exalted.
    [25] I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. [26] He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
    [27] Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. [28] My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
    [29] His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the
    days of heaven.
    [30] If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
    [31] If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
    [32] Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
    [33] Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
    [34] My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of
    my lips.
    [35] Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
    [36] His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me.
    [37] It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness
    in heaven. Selah.
    [38] But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
    [39] Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
    [40] Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong
    holds to ruin.
    [41] All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours. [42] Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all
    his enemies to rejoice.
    [43] Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
    [44] Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the
    ground.
    [45] The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
    [46] How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn
    like fire?
    [47] Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in
    vain?
    [48] What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver
    his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
    [49] Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto
    David in thy truth?
    [50] Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
    [51] Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
    [52] Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

    PSALMS 96

    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) For all the gods of the nations are worthless,
    but the Lord made the heavens.
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) Honor and majesty are before Him;
    strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) Give unto the Lord, O families of the people,
    give unto the Lord glory and strength.
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Give unto the Lord the glory due His name;
    bring an offering, and come into His courts.
    9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness;
    tremble before Him, all the earth.
    10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) Say among the nations, "The Lord reigns!
    Indeed, the world is established; it shall not be moved;
    He shall judge the peoples righteously."
    11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
    let the sea roar, and all that fills it;
    12 let the field be joyful, and all that is init;
    then all the trees of the forests shall rejoice
    13 before the Lord, for He comes,
    for He comes to judge the earth.
    He shall judge the world with righteousness
    and the peoples with His faithfulness.

    [3] Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
    [4] For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared
    above all gods.
    [5] For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the
    heavens.
    [6] Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
    [7] Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD
    glory and strength.
    [8] Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and
    come into his courts.
    [9] O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
    [10] Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people
    righteously.
    [11] Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar,
    and the fulness thereof.
    [12] Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the
    trees of the wood rejoice
    [13] Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he
    shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

    PSALMS 100

    come before His presence with singing.
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Know that the Lord, He is God;
    it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
    we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
    and into His courts with praise;
    be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) For the Lord is good; His mercy endures forever,
    and His faithfulness to all generations.

    Psalm 100
    [1] Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
    [2] Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
    [3] Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
    [4] Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
    be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
    [5] For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth
    to all generations.

    PSALMS 101
    A Psalm of David.

    1 I will sing of mercy and justice;
    to You, O Lord, I will sing.
    2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) I will consider the path that is blameless.
    When will You come to me?
    I will walk within my house
    with a perfect heart.
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) I will set no wicked thing
    before my eyes.
    I hate the work of those who turn aside;
    it shall not have part of me.
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) A perverted heart shall be far from me;
    I will not know anything wicked.
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Whoever privately slanders his neighbor,
    him I will destroy;
    whoever has a haughty look and a proud heart
    I will not endure.
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) My eyes shall be favorable to the faithful in the land, that they may live with me;
    he who walks in a blameless manner,
    he shall serve me.
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He who practices deceit
    shall not dwell within my house;
    he who tells lies
    shall not remain in my sight.
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Every morning I will destroy
    all the wicked in the land,
    that I may cut off all wicked doers
    from the city of the Lord.

    Psalm 101
    [1] I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
    [2] I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
    [3] I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them
    that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
    [4] A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
    [5] Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that
    hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
    [6] Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell
    with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
    [7] He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
    [8] I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

    PSALMS 105
    1Ch 16:8-22

    1 Oh, give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name;
    make known His deeds among the peoples.
    2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him;
    proclaim all His wondrous works.
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) Glory in His holy name;
    let the heart rejoice for those who seek the Lord.
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) Seek the Lord and His strength;
    seek His presence continuously.
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) Remember His marvelous works that He has done;
    His wonders and the judgments from His mouth,
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) O offspring of Abraham, His servant,
    O children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) He is the Lord our God;
    His judgments are in all the earth.
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) He remembers His covenant forever,
    the word that He commanded, to a thousand generations,
    9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) that covenant He made with Abraham,
    and His oath to Isaac,
    10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) and confirmed to Jacob as a decree,
    and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
    11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan
    as the portion of your inheritance."
    12 When they were but a few people in number,
    indeed, very few, and strangers in it,
    13 when they went from one nation to another,
    from one kingdom to another people,
    14 He did not permit anyone to do them wrong;
    indeed, He reproved kings on their behalf,
    15 saying, "Do not touch my anointed ones,
    and do no harm to my prophets."
    16 Moreover He called for a famine upon the land;
    He broke the whole supply of bread.
    17 He sent a man before them,
    Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
    18 They hurt his feet with fetters;
    his neck was put in an iron collar.
    19 Until the time that his word came to pass,
    the word of the Lord tested him.
    20 The king sent and released him;
    the ruler of the people let him go free.
    21 He made Joseph lord of his house
    and ruler of all his possessions,
    22 to imprison his princes at Joseph's pleasure
    and to teach his elders wisdom.
    23 Then Israel came into Egypt,
    and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
    24 The Lord increased His people greatly
    and made them stronger than their enemies.
    25 He turned their hearts to hate His people,
    to deal cleverly with His servants.
    26 He sent Moses, His servant,
    and Aaron whom He had chosen.
    27 They showed His signs among them
    and wonders in the land of Ham.
    28 He sent darkness and made the land dark,
    and Moses and Aaron did not rebel against His word.
    29 He turned their waters into blood
    and caused their fish to die.
    30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance,
    even in the chambers of their kings.
    31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies
    and gnats in all their country.
    32 He gave them hail for rain
    and flaming lightning in their land.
    33 He struck their vines and their fig trees
    and shattered the trees of their country.
    34 He spoke, and the locusts came,
    and caterpillars without number,
    35 that devoured all the vegetation in their land,
    and ate all the fruit of their ground.
    36 He struck down all the firstborn in their land,
    the first fruits of all their strength.
    37 Then He brought them out with silver and gold,
    and no one among their tribes faltered.
    38 Egypt was glad when they left,
    for the fear of Israel fell upon them.
    39 He spread a cloud for a covering,
    and fire to give light in the night.
    40 The people asked, and He brought quail,
    and satisfied them with abundant bread of heaven.
    41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out;
    they ran in the desert like a river.
    42 For he recalled His holy promise
    to Abraham His servant.
    43 He brought forth His people with joy,
    and His chosen ones with gladness,
    44 and gave them the lands of the nations,
    and they took possession of the fruitful labor of the people,
    45 that they might observe His statutes
    and keep His laws.
    Praise the Lord!

    Psalm 103
    [1] Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy
    name.
    [2] Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
    [3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
    [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
    [5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
    [6] The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are
    oppressed.
    [7] He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. [8] The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in
    mercy.
    [9] He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
    [10] He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to
    our iniquities.
    [11] For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
    [12] As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
    [13] Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that
    fear him.
    [14] For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
    [15] As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
    [16] For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof
    shall know it no more.
    [17] But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
    [18] To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his
    commandments to do them.
    [19] The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom
    ruleth over all.
    [20] Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
    [21] Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
    [22] Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

    PSALMS 132
    2Ch 6:41-42
    A Song of Ascents.

    1 O Lord, remember David
    and all his afflictions,
    2 (Ps 63:1; 84:2) how he swore unto the Lord,
    and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob:
    3 (Ps 79:10; 80:5) "I will not come into my house,
    nor go up to my bed;
    4 (Isa 30:29; Ps 62:8) I will not give sleep to my eyes,
    or slumber to my eyelids,
    5 (Ps 42:11; 43:5) until I find a place for the Lord,
    a dwelling for the mighty God of Jacob."
    6 (2Sa 17:22; Dt 3:8-9) We heard of it in Ephrathah;
    we found it in the fields of Jaar.
    7 (Ps 88:7; Jnh 2:3) "We will go to His dwelling place,
    we will worship at His footstool."
    8 (Job 35:10; Ps 63:6) Arise, O Lord, go to Your resting place,
    You and the ark of Your strength.
    9 (Ps 38:6; 18:2) Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness,
    and let Your godly ones shout for joy.
    10 (Ps 42:3; Joel 2:17) For Your servant David's sake,
    do not turn away Your anointed king.
    11 (Ps 42:5; 43:5) The Lord has sworn with a sure oath to David
    that He will not turn from it:
    "From the fruit of your body
    I will set a son on your throne.
    12 If your children will keep My covenant
    and My testimonies that I shall teach them,
    then their children shall also sit
    upon your throne forever."
    13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
    He has desired it for His dwelling:
    14 "This is My resting place forever;
    here I will dwell, for I have chosen it.
    15 I will abundantly bless her provisions;
    I will satisfy her poor with bread.
    16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation,
    and her godly ones shall shout for joy.
    17 "There I will make a horn sprout for David;
    I have prepared a lamp for My anointed one.
    18 His enemies I will clothe with shame,
    but on him his crown will shine."

    Psalms 132
    [1] LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:
    [2] How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;
    [3] Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into
    my bed;
    [4] I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,
    [5] Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God
    of Jacob.
    [6] Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
    [7] We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
    [8] Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
    [9] Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout
    for joy.
    [10] For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed. [11] The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of
    the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
    [12] If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall
    teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.
    [13] For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
    [14] This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
    [15] I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with
    bread.
    [16] I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall
    shout aloud for joy.
    [17] There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
    [18] His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.

    Revelation 1:1-2,12-18

    Introduction and Salutation

    1 (Rev 22:6; 22:16; Jn 8:26) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave
    to Him to show to His servants things which must soon take place. He sent
    and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
    2 (Rev 12:17; 1Co 1:6; Rev 6:9) who bears record of the word of God,
    and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

    [1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto
    his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and
    signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
    [2] Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus
    Christ, and of all things that he saw.

    A Vision of Christ

    12 (Ex 25:37; Zec 4:2) I turned to see the voice that spoke with me.
    And when I turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,
    13 (Da 7:13; 10:16) and in the midst of the seven candlesticks
    was one like a Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet
    and with a golden sash wrapped around the chest.
    14 (Da 7:9; 10:6; Rev 19:12) The hair on His head was white like wool,
    as white as snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.
    15 (Eze 43:2; Da 10:6) His feet were like fine brass, as if refined
    in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters.
    16 (Isa 49:2; Heb 4:12) He had in His right hand seven stars,
    and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword.
    His appearance was like the sun shining brightly.
    17 (Isa 44:6; Rev 22:13; Isa 41:4) When I saw Him, I fell at His feet
    as though I were dead. Then He laid His right hand on me, saying to me,
    "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.

    [12] And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I
    saw seven golden candlesticks;
    [13] And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of
    man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
    [14] His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
    [15] And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and
    his voice as the sound of many waters.
    [16] And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
    [17] And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right
    hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

    18 (Ro 6:9; Heb 7:25) I am He who lives, though I was dead. Look! I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
    [18] I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for
    evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

    In 1859, the largest solar storm in recorded history took place. Known as the Carrington Event, it produced a massive geomagnetic disturbance blamed for disrupting the telegraph system. The website Space.com says, "It's been conjectured that a storm on the scale of the Carrington event, if it happened today, could cause an internet apocalypse."

    The ominous word apocalypse intrigues us. It's the Greek title of the book
    of Revelation (apokalypsis). But the word doesn't only mean a catastrophe
    or the end of the world. As the title Revelation implies, it also refers
    to an unveiling, a revealing.

    The book opens, "The revelation of Jesus Christ" (Revelation 1:1).
    Revelation reveals Jesus as the Lamb of God, a term John uses in the book more than twenty-five times to describe Him. Revelation also reveals Christ as one whose "eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters" (vv. 14-15).
    When John first saw the Lamb of God, he "fell at his feet as though dead"
    (v. 17). But this Lamb touched him and said,
    "Do not be afraid. . . . I am alive for ever and ever!" (v.v 17-18).

    Rather than fearing any apocalypse, we can embrace Revelation for showing us the glorified, resurrected Christ. He's the one we worship.

    Reflect & Pray

    What are your fears about the future?
    How does Jesus help you transcend those fears?

    Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Your Son Jesus to me.

    Week 2 - Saved by Grace - Day 2 - Earning Death

    Romans 6:23

    23 (Ro 5:12; Ge 2:17; Ro 2:7) For the wages of sin is death,
    but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal
    life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

    "I only want my rights," declares the belligerent Big Ghost, one of the characters in C. S. Lewis's classic, The Great Divorce. "I'm not asking
    for anybody's bleeding charity."
    "Then do. At once," his angelic friend Len urges. "Ask for the Bleeding Charity. Everything is here for the asking and nothing can be bought."
    Often we are much like the Ghost in Lewis's tale of heaven and hell.
    We want "What we deserve," and being blind to our own sin, we think
    we deserve praise, or al least mercy. But Paul is very clear on what
    we have coming: "The wages of sin is death".
    We work for our wages - we've earned our paycheque, and we deserve it.
    We don't have to thank anyone for paying us - it's our due, not a gift. Similarly, the paycheque issued to us in renumeration for our sin is
    what we deserve: death.
    Yet, if we are willing to lay aside our pride and accept God's gift,
    we can live. "The gift of God is eternal life." Nothing we can do or say
    can make us worthy of the gift of life. We are sinners by nature and we
    rebel against God in our choices. Yet God, in Christ, offers grace to us, freedom from sin, liberty from the burden of trying to earn his favour. Ironically, freedom and peace in the Christian life come not through
    justifying ourselves and making ourselves look good, but through
    acknowledging the depth of our sin ad our ability to do anything about it.
    When we realise that we are trapped in out sinful selves and only
    Christ can free us, then we are ready to journey toward grace and freedom.

    Application

    a) In what way's have I tried to "earn" the gift of eternal life?

    b) What can I do to focus on God's grace and realise
    that I cannot accomplish my own salvation?

    4) From Prosperity Promises - Kenneth Copeland

    2 Cor 9:6

    6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly,
    and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

    6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
    and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

    5) From a Book called God's Promises for you:

    When you are Worried Over Money

    1 Tim 6:6-10

    6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
    7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain
    that we can carry nothing out.
    8 If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with these things.
    9 But those who desire
    to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish
    and harmful lusts, which drown men in ruin and destruction.
    10 For the love of money is the root of all evil.
    While coveting after money, some have strayed from the faith
    and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
    He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.

    6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
    7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain
    we can carry nothing out.
    8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
    9 But they that will
    be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish
    and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
    10 For the love of money is the root of all evil:
    which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith,
    and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

    Remember God's promises when You pray

    The Lord's prayer

    Matthew 6:9-13

    9 "Therefore pray in this manner:
    Our Father who is in heaven,
    hallowed be Your name.
    10 (Mt 3:2; 4:17) Your kingdom come;
    Your will be done
    on earth, as it is in heaven.
    11 (Pr 30:8; Isa 33:16) Give us this day our daily bread.
    12 (Ex 34:7; Ps 32:1) And forgive us our debts,
    as we forgive our debtors.
    13 (1Co 10:13; Jn 17:15) And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
    For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."

    9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
    Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
    10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
    11 Give us this day our daily bread.
    12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
    13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
    For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

    6) This come from Praying for Muslims in Canada 2015 (Is there a 2022 edition?)

    Ontario

    Quick facts on Muslims in Ontario

    Ontario 2015 population 13 687 7000

    est Muslim Population 1 001 542

    CNMM Networks: Ottawa, Durham, York, Toronto, Mississauga, Halton, Hamilton,
    Niagara, Kitchener, London, Windsor

    Ontario has 55% of all of Canada's entire Muslim population. This means that the whole of the Muslim world is represented somewhere in this province. Most Muslims are understandably located along the southern border stretching
    from Windsor eastward all the way up to Ottawa. Yet Muslims are constantly resettling in more and more suburban and even small towns of Ontario. Mosques are springing up, and where there are enough gathered, Islamic schools
    are starting.
    And they're not complacent, either. Many Islamic leaders are energetic in their advancement of Islam in Canadian society. Recently in the Niagara Region,
    the local mosque distributed via Canada Post as many as 50000 full-colour brochures on Islam. An that mosque's Facebook page proudly show pictures of "reverts", or white Canadians who have converted to Islam as a result of receiving the flier and engaging with the mosque community. Another town reports Muslims going door-to-door evangelism.
    Agree in prayer for:

    - net network leaders - the need is great
    - the development of network leadership teams
    - good connections with local pastors, congregations and individuals
    whom God is calling into this ministry.
    - wisdom facilitating outreach and training activities for mobilising
    believers
    - new full and part-time workers among Muslims throughout all these areas
    - for pastors and churches to respond not in fear, but full of faith and love
    towards Muslims, sharing Jesus with them.

    Adding further

    30 days of prayer for the Muslim World 24 April to 23 May 2020

    Under the Keep Praying page

    When the new moon is sighted it marks the beginning of t he new Islamic month and Eid al-Fitr, the "Festival of Breaking the Fast", will start! After 30 days of fasting, the Eid celebration at the end of Ramadan is a joyful time that usually lasts about 3 days. Muslims will buy new clothes, exchange gifts and, of course, enjoy special foods. In Muslim-majority nations, the streets may be decorated and festivals will be held.

    For many Muslims, Eid-al-Fitr begins with communal prayers at daybreak and the distribution of money (zakat) to the poor, which is one of the 5 pillars of Islam.

    You can greet Muslim friends during this time by saying "Eid Mubarak",
    which means Blessed Eid!"

    Ramadan is over for this year, but you can continue to pray for Muslims you know, and Muslims around the world:

    - Despite the unsettling developments in our world today that involve actions in the name of Islam, there is at the same time a largely untold story about unprecedented movement to Christ among Muslims. There have been more such movements of thousands or more new disciples among Muslims in the last three decades or so than in all the previous history of Christian Muslim relationships! Pray for this momentum to continue.
    Acts 2:12-17 : 17 "In the last days it shall be," says God,
    "that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
    your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
    18 Even on My menservants and maidservants
    I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.
    19 And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below: blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious day of the Lord comes. 21 And whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."[a]

    Footnotes
    Acts 2:21 Joel 2:28-32.
    - Pray for Christian workers an organisations focused on seeing effective discipleship movements among Muslim people.
    - Ask the Holy Spirit to continue to inspire you to have god's heart for Muslims, to see them as He does, and to be the light that then to Jesus. Matthew 5:14-15 : 14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under
    a basket, but on a candlestick. And it gives light to all who are in the house."

    Ideas for prayer

    - Pray for opportunities to show the love of Christ to Muslims around you
    - Pray for, and offer generous hospitality to, those you know who are serving Christ among Muslim people -
    Romans 12:13 "contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality."
    - When you gather with fellow believers, remember to pray for Muslims throughout the year and encourage them to also participate in 30 Days!

    And

    Thank you for praying through the
    5 Days of Prayer for Sikhs.

    "My name is Kam. I'm 29 years of age, and I grew up Sikh. As a teenager,
    I struggled with depression, brokenness, and addiction to
    cannabis. I didn't know how to stop or how to get help.

    Then a friend invited me to church. As I spent time with Christians
    and heard the message of the Gospel, I experienced the
    love of Jesus Christ, and it was like nothing I'd known before.
    One night I had a dream where I saw Him - a figure surrounded by
    light who I knew was Jesus, the light of the world.

    As I began to understand the gospel message, I encountered a reassuring and confident solution to the problem of sin. I knew that I needed a solution
    to my sin problem, and I gave my life to Christ.

    Slowly, God began to heal my broken heart and my addiction.
    Nine years have passed, and I am a devoted husband and a father
    to two beautiful boys. I grow deeper in love with Jesus each day.

    I ask you to continue praying with me, and others around the world, for Sikhs. God is the only one who can draw people to Himself. He works in and through the prayers of His people. I want Sikhs to know the freedom
    and healing that is only available through Jesus Christ."

    13 (Ro 14:17; 12:12) Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy
    and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope,
    through the power of the Holy Spirit.

    [13] Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that
    ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

    ROMANS 15:13

    My paternal side is of Muslim heritage and will offer this section to further call for Muslim converts to Christian and any other converts to Christianity (Hindus, Jews, aboriginals Canadian, ...) .
