Grievance: Zedekiah stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord God of Israel.
Application: Believers must maintain a tender and responsive heart toward the Holy Spirit, practicing immediate repentance when confronted with sin.
Grievance: All the leaders of the priests and the people transgressed greatly, following all the abominations of the nations.
Application: The church must remain sanctified and set apart, refusing to adopt the moral standards, philosophies, or idols of the surrounding secular culture.
Grievance: They polluted the house of the Lord which he had made holy in Jerusalem.
Application: The body of Christ must uphold the sanctity of the church and the purity of the individual believer as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Grievance: God sent warnings to them by his messengers because he had compassion on his people, but they mocked the messengers of God.
Application: The congregation should receive the preaching of the Word with humility and gratitude, recognizing the discipline of God as an act of divine mercy.
Grievance: They despised the words of the prophets and scoffed at his prophets.
Application: The church must hold the scriptures in the highest esteem, treating the proclamation of truth with reverence rather than indifference or contempt.

Application: The church must exercise proactive faithfulness and spiritual vigilance, seeking reconciliation with God while it is called today to avoid the consequences of prolonged disobedience.

Good News rCa
Christ's death on a cross paid the debt we owe God for our sins (Colossians 2:14). The proof is God raised Him from the dead (Romans 1:4).
This means God can now remain right, while forgiving our sins (Romans 3:26) and delivering us from His coming wrath (1 Thessalonians 1:10). It's a free gift for those who believe in Christ (Romans 6:23).
If you believe, call on the Lord to save you (Romans 10:9-13).
